Oh please. Anyone could see that tree was gonna go.

Why does everyone act like its a success at the end? If the explosives didn't all get thru, then the Kuchunga project was doomed. They desperately needed the explosives to finish the tunnel on schedule otherwise the bad guys had won. So, three trucks of these vital explosives set out, with three people, and by the end of the ep 1/3 of the people are dead, and 2/3 of the trucks have been destroyed. SO IT WAS A FAILURE!!!!!!! Hello? Why we celebrating? They failed!

Well, they didn't actually say that they needed all three truckloads of explosive. Perhaps they sent that many just in case one or two didn't make it. Also, since they've caught the traitor, it will be safe to send more.

In the restaurant scene, a woman is shown wearing the same frightful blue outfit with the huge blue tie that Symphony was wearing in "Model Spy".

They gave Joe two brain patterns this time--the other one being that of an explosives expert. I never understood why. The other two drivers knew what he knew--namely, that the explosive had to be given a fairly smooth ride, and would explode if it got too hot.

These trucks probably weigh several tons when empty, let alone when packed full of explosives. And they wrapped the winching cable around one skinny little tree? Puh-leeze!

It was interesting to show that surviving soldier's slow change of attitude throughout the show.

I think of all the Supermarionation death scenes I find the Sergeant's most upsetting. :(

By D.K. Henderson on Thursday, October 26, 2006 - 5:43 am:

What bothers me about the Sergeant's death is that it's practically ignored. His buddy obviously wants to say or do something to eulogize him, but Joe immediately calls him back to the task at hand. I know that they were in a hurry, but one word, one moment...it was incredibly cold and callous. There's no indication that Joe mentioned the death to Sam, and no mention of it at the end when they parted.

Apparently those explosives took some little time to ignite once they were above 5,000 feet--Joe's truck was above the explosion level, and it took some time to get it down.

(One wonders just how Sam went about getting that vital information out of the traitor....)
