Is there a scene missing from this, where Joe sits on the throne pretending to be the Child of the Sun God? Because I think there is! :) There are at least two different pics of Joe sitting on the throne in the costume he has at the end of the ep, and it would make sense in story terms.....

No it's a missing scene from what the DVD says

Quite practical for Shane Weston to have a recorder/transmitter permanently set up in his office.

Did Sam say that the ransom was ten million? That seems a little paltry for four world leaders.

I liked the scene in the first plane, where Joe winces from the pain of his innoculations. A sensible precaution, although they seem to have skipped them on previous missions to tropical areas.

They were a little glib about bypassing the law regarding the sacredness of children. There should have been more of an argument there.

When the "high priest" asked about the trial by entombment, they should have jumped on him right there. Shouldn't the "Voice" of their god know everything?

Judging by what the older man said, Joe is not the first person to claim to be a child of the Sun God.

I liked the scene with Mac and Sam, when it started raining. Mac commented on the fact, and Sam mumbled something. When Mac spun around and said, "Rain, Sam!" I thought for an moment that the strain of waiting had made him lose his temper. Sam, for his part, instantly comprehended what Mac meant, and called Joe to warn him.

When Sam said that they would come to help him, Joe replied that he had to do it on his own. He could also have mentioned the near impossibility of them getting there in time, as they had to be some distance away.

The shots of Joe struggling in the current were excellent. Are those puppets pretty well sealed? Was there any danger of the inside mechanisms shorting out?

I wonder if Joe could have simply walked up to that altar area, but chose to come in with that Tarzan swing just for the fun of it?

When they showed Joe eyeing the golden mask that had been dropped, I thought that he was planning to use it for something. Missing scene?

Sam said at the end that the four men had come out of their comas with no aftereffects--in fact, they felt great. Sorry, but no one is going to feel "great" after two weeks in a coma. They would have felt debilitated. They would have lost a good deal of weight, and they would have felt weak from that and from the total lack of exercise. Not to mention uncomfortable from the various tubes, etc, used to keep them alive.

What was with that closing scene, anyway? Did Joe walk into the WIN building wearing that costume? Why did he stand there, not saying a word, aiming that blowpipe at Shane? He looked as though he were possessed or something.
