But this episode really should be the first episode to feature the Space Spies as they get a proper introduction in this.

Did anyone involved with this show have even the most rudimentary knowledge of space? Opening a door, NOT an airlock, in the space station without getting blasted backwards by all the atmosphere being blown out? Ripping another hole in the station, again without losing atmosphere? Of course, watching the characters manuever around in space by kicking their feet looked so cute! I know, I know, it was a kids' show, but even so--!
Let's see. XL9 was flying to meet up with XL5 for the changing of the guard, when they were attacked and forced to return to Earth. Steve seemed unconcerned that they had not met up with XL9, he just went sailing back to Earth anyhow, without bothering to mention to Commander Zero that XL9 had failed to turn up at the rendexvous point. Having been informed of the attack, Steve is instructed, NOT to go find out who is taking potshots at the XLs, but simply to take over XL9's patrol duties. Steve's only concern is to get refueled, not to stock up on any human necessities such as food and water for the next 3 months.
Having noticed that there is something fishy about the space station, Steve doesn't think that it's worth the trouble to mention this to Space City.
Venus apparently is not trusted to carry a weapon of her own.
After Steve sabotaged Boris' gravity boots, I'm surprised that Grizelda didn't simply force Steve or the Professor to hand over their own boots. (These Space Spys are not too swift, are they?)
Boris' holey socks were rather gruesome to look at.
Where did Steve hide that remote control for the new, improved gravity boots?
Interesting how a soft human body can be slammed through a heavy metal bulkhead without suffering so much as a scratch.
Having escaped Mr.& Mrs. Space Spy and returned to their refueled ship, Steve & Co. head blithely back to patrol. They neglect to arrest their captors, who are guilty of attacking a space ship, taking over a space station and abandoning its crew with no means of rescue, and plotting to steal another space ship and kill its crew. Steve & Co. are a forgiving bunch, aren't they?
Having arranged for the station crew to home back in on the space station, Steve flies off without waiting to see if they actually make it back, or if they have enough personal oxygen to last until they repair the hole in the roof and restore the atmosphere. And, once she's retrieved her orbiting husband, what's to stop Grizelda from taking over the station again?
Can anyone tell me what is so "cute" about the idea of brewing up a pot of coffee? I think that Venus should have pitched the whole pot in Steve's face.
Meanwhile, back at Space City, an outraged Commander Zero is planning to demand an explanation of the XL9 crew for being victims of an unexpected, unprovoked attack. What's to explain?
