I find it disquieting to think that in the future, a confession obtained under duress will be considered valid in a court of law. And the confession came from Edmundo, who had already been caught in flagrante. It would have been a lot more sensible to record Edmundo planting the bomb, record him travelling to the Briggs' house, allow the freighter to take off with recording equipment and witnesses on board, arrange for the freighter to stop about the time the bomb would have gone off, and allow the Briggs brothers to come on board and hang themselves, metaphorically speaking.

BTW, there is a scene where Jock is speaking over a communicator to Commander Zero. Edmundo is in the foreground, standing in shadow, and he looks absolutely terrifying.
