Heh heh. Nice in-joke on the newspaper boards:
MASTERSPY ESCAPES! :)

They must be trying to keep the violence toned down. That long hail of gunfire at the beginning, yet we only see one man fall, right at the end.

Of course, there was the explosion in the building, killing who knows how many inmates and prison staff. (And just how did they get that explosive into a maximum-security building, anyway? There must be a traitor among the prison personnel.)

I should think that it would have been simpler to work out a code between Unwin and Matthew for getting out of the case, or for Unwin to simply tap the case with his heel when it had been pushed back out of sight. Telling Matthew that it was all right to get out while the suspect was sitting just a few feet away was ludicrous, even if he did cover up with his Unwinese.

After the good Father left, 'ol Whatsisname should have been shown standing at the door, scratching his head and mumbling, "What the heck was that all about?"

Matthew didn't really make any attempt to conceal himself in the room. He stood upright and clearly visible behind what looked like some empty flowerpots. (Appropriate place for a gardener, I suppose.) He seems to be counting overmuch on the idea that a full-size human would just not "see" a tiny man down on the floor.

It seems rather funny that while mini-Matthew is undertaking a perilous mission, Father Unwin is peacefully asleep at home. They did the same thing in the first episode. I suppose that it's an indication of how much Father Unwin trusts Matthew.

It wasn't too smart for Matthew to simply sit in the chair as it was lowered to the secret chamber. What if Grey or someone else had heard the chair and stood waiting to see who was coming down?

Mrs. Appleby sure is nosy, isn't she? Just what was she doing in Matthew's bedroom so early in the morning, hmmmm?

Father Unwin must carefully cultivate his reputation for eccentricity. I should think that it would be simpler to wait until Mrs. Appleby was out of the room to speak with Matthew. Considering that their transmitters seem to be voice-activated, just speaking to Mrs. Appleby would alert Matthew to the fact that the Father was not alone.

I would like to know just what Matthew was clinging to on the outside of the helicopter. You couldn't see him at all on any long shots. And just how was he able to scamper from the helicopter to the car without anyone seeing him?

Matthew must have strong muscles and nerves of steel. I wouldn't want to try perching on the bumper of a moving car, with the possibility of getting tossed off with a sharp turn or from hitting a bump.

Nice touch during the pursuit scene--a man was walking in the street, pulling a cart or something, and turned to look at Father Unwin's rather unusual car as it passed.

Sir Whatsisname indicated to Grey that he wouldn't get out of the country until he paid off a million pounds, but when they reached Kew Gardens, he let Grey go off with the contact man with no further mention of the money.

Lucky for the Father that the bad guy obligingly waited for him to activiate his miniaturizing device, rather that simply shooting him down.

Matthew sounded as though he were really having fun teasing the shrunken bad guy. However, I was expecting Matthew to pop up out of nowhere and drop the guy with a punch, or at least grab him. Waiting over by Father Unwin's feet gave him the look of a Chihuahua barking bravely while a friendly Great Dane stood protectively over him.

BTW, the good Father was lucky that he didn't get some tiny bullets in his shins. I was surprised to see him there; I had thought that he went outside to see that Grey was dealt with, leaving Matthew to deal with the mini menace.
