A Spectrum Yellow Fox Tanker can be seen around the base, and the Aquatank is bombed by stock footage of Angel Interceptors.

By Kinggodzillak on Friday, August 02, 2002 - 1:28 pm:

Also stock footage of the tank from Business Holiday is re-used.

By Kinggodzillak on Saturday, August 03, 2002 - 1:51 pm:

All the Angel Interceptor footage comes from the first Scarlet episode.

The Yellow Fox Tanker can be seen both with and without its Octane section in separate scenes.

Supposedly, this series takes place in "real time" as opposed to "future time", but one of the first things we see in this episode is a sign showing that this area is for experimental machinery of the World Army, which did not, and still does not, exist.

When the attacking tank was hit and exploded, it showed quite a burst of reddish-pink flames. I wonder what kind of chemical produced that color?

As soon as Mitchell mutters that sinister comment under his breath, you know that he's one of the bad guys. On the other hand, they did a classic bit of misdirection with the Professor, implying that he was also one of the bad guys, when he was simply concerned for the security of his creation.

Just who was Mitchell talking to when he reported that Father Unwin must be from the Secret Service?

Matthew rivals the Tracy brothers as a quick change artist. When he first comes into the room with Father Unwin and Mrs. Appleby, he is wearing a light blue shirt with a brown vest. A few minutes later, when he is being shrunk down, he is wearing a brown shirt with a brown vest. Sitting in the case, he is wearing a white or cream colored sweater under the brown vest.

That was certainly a nasty comment Mrs. Appleby made about Matthew, and really uncalled for. Father Unwin had stated that he himself would not be home for dinner. If Matthew had then cut in and said that he would not be home for dinner either, Mrs. Appleby might have been justified in wondering what the lazy good-for-nothing was going to do while Father Unwin was gone. However, he did not. Father Unwin told Mrs. Appleby that Matthew would not be home, implying that he knew what Matthew would be doing, and also that he (Father Unwin) was not worried about it.

I was startled when Father Unwin reached down the book with the Miniaturizer. I'll have to look back at the earlier episodes, but I don't think that I had seen a clear shot of the back of his head before. Never noticed that little bald patch before.

While Captain Unwin, Chaplain, was chatting up the sentry at the base, they kept showing Matthew listening in the case. I kept expecting Matthew to make some sort of amused reaction to the Father's gibberish, but he did not. Would have been a nice touch.

Considering the sentry's reaction when Father Unwin drove on, the good Father was lucky that he wasn't seized and searched.

I liked that long moment of dead silence after Father Unwin casually mentioned the Aquatank.

Why did Father Unwin set down Matthew's case in view of the Professor?

I think that Father Unwin has become too accustomed to rattling off gibberish when anyone takes notice of that case. When the Professor blurted out that he had seen the case move, it would have been perfectly in order to say something like, "How could a case move by itself? You've been working very hard on this Aquatank, haven't you? Wearing yourself out. Why don't you sit down and rest for a few minutes and clear your head?"

I would like to know just how Matthew got into a presumably sealed tank. Man of many talents, our Matthew.

Just moments after he sent the sentry back to his post, Mitchell fired his gun at the door-locking mechanism. Quite a loud shot. I'm surprised that the sentry didn't come back.

How would Matthew, inside the tank with no outside view, have known that the tank had veered off course? What if it had been programmed to travel in a zig-zagging pattern?

That was quite a scene with Father Unwin driving serenely through a minefield with missiles bursting all around him. I liked his talking to Gabriel about how they were both in the army, now.

"Let's just pretend that someone is inside the tank...." Uh, huh. I'm surprised that the Professor didn't start screaming, "What do you think this is, a game?" I'd also like to know why he didn't ask who the Matthew was that Father Unwin was obviously talking to.

Do Father Unwin's congregation ever wonder where he gets the ideas for his sermons? :)
