Why doesn't Tiger send the Battletank in to help blow up the mines?

Why doesn't he also fly Battlehawk over and bomb ahead of Mary? And shouldn't the Groundhawk have a recovery system similar to Battletank's for just this sort of emergency?

Also, I think this is the only episode where Windsor Davies didn't record any original dialogue. He only has one line ("Yes ma'am") and it could have come from any previous ep.
