Season 3 Atlantis DVDs:
The first of the 5 discs comes out on 27 August in the UK;
The full box set comes out on 19 September in the US.
Season 10 SG-1 DVDs:
Strangely, the only reference to the UK releases I can find is disc 2 due out on 10 September, which would put disc 1 at around 13 August, I guess.
The full box set comes out on 24 July in the US;
And the full box set of Season 3 Lantis is $50!! while over in Britain we're paying 15 quid per disc!!!!
I'm moving ...
... or rather, I'm glad I just bought a multi-region DVD player. Now all I have to hope is that Amazon will be willing to send it to the UK.
Zeta Minor's got SG-1 10.1 listed as being released on August 13th.
August 13th is also the date of release of the DVD of (gulp) "Infinity"!!!!
Well, there's 16 quid I will definitely not be spending!
I was right!!
MGM is working on a complete series set for Stargate SG-1. The set will include all 50 discs from the 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1, plus 4 bonus discs filled with content that didn't make the original sets. Suggested retail price is $299.98 (currently about £150) (minus whatever discount a retailer applies), and the set should be released on October 9.
The full boxset is now out in Region 2. Amazon.co.uk are currently selling it for £176.98, which is not as cheap as it is in the States where Amazon.com are selling it for $234 which I think works out at about £115.
It's not even on my Christmas wish list. Maybe next year, when the price has come down a bit! But first I'd have to clear a gap on my shelves by getting rid of all the videos up to and including Season 5, which seems a terrible waste. (At the same time I could do with clearing away all the Babylon 5 videos which I don't need any more after buying the DVD full boxset.) Is there any hope that at some time in the future videos will become precious again and I'll make a killing on eBay?!
I saw it at Costco & was amazed that a collection of ten seasons was cheaper than the seven season NextGen collection.
But then number of episodes doesn't seem to come into play much for DVD sets oddly.
And I finally succumbed when I saw that the new 10 season boxset - now including Ark of Truth but not Continuum (no doubt there'll be a new new boxset in due course!) came out with a much nicer looking box than the earlier version, and for less than a hundred quid.
I may be some time ...
Not a DVD, but there didn't seem to be a board for Stargate Merchandise.
Stargate coasters.
Let's hope they don't get dialed before your morning cup of coffee or Whoosh! ;-)
