Michael Shanks fears that the movie, which has been scripted and provisionally entitled Revolution, might not happen.

Really? The way people seemed to be ripping into it for the bad writing I thought the ratings would have gone down as well.

Well, yeah, we all know he really wanted to say, "The TPTB are trying to prevent their trainwreck of a series from wiping out several inconveniently placed orphanges, so they have no time to spend on the cash cow that made their new series possible." ;-)

Actually I don't know what the ratings for Universe have been. Presumably they have been "good enough" for the suits at Syfy to renew it. It was just a surprise to hear a show that many people are ripping into being described as "doing well". (If that's doing well, what must a show doing bad be like?)
