Okay, once again we get these annoying recaps that tell us what we already know. Enough, we get it.

So Destiny was putting Young through a Kobyashi Maru test in his head (a no-sin situation). Every tactic he tried, the end result was the same, Destiny is destroyed. Nice kick in the a** for him.

Of course, one can't blame Young, his wife has filed for divorce. Well, when your husband is on the other side of the universe, that can put a strain on ANY marraige. Talk about a long distance relationship.

Luckily, by the end of the show, he seems to have pulled himself together.

As for Chloe, she's still under lockdown. I wonder what will happen to her.

Eli seems to have found a cure for the Chloe Blues, Ginn. I loved the look on Greer's face when he saw how the two of them were hitting it off. Nice of him to arrange some alone time for them. I loved how Eli freaked out at first!

Once again Rush is talking to the ship, at least I think it's the ship. These visions only appear to him when he's in that bridge.

I liked this episode.

You know, continuing a thread from previous ep's board, I wonder if the visions are a Rush's side effect of the alien tank.

Interesting theory, Scott. It does seem odd that he was with the aliens a lot longer than Chloe and yet – apart from the tracker implanted in him – he’s having no after-effects.

This is the first Universe episode with more than one word in its title.

Two it-was-all-in-his-head episodes back to back? Come on, producers, be a bit more inventive.

Knowing Young, he probably went back to Earth and told Emily everything about him, T.J. and the baby, but still hoped that she would forgive him.

At least now we know how to pronounce Ginn’s name. Up until now, having only read it on various websites, I assumed that it was pronounced like the drink.

A couple of times in Young’s dreams, Brody says that the alien ships “dropped out of hyperspace”. This, I believe, is the first time that anyone has said that these particular aliens use hyperdrives rather than F.T.L. It would explain how the aliens have caught up but I wonder, however, whether Paul Mullie, the scriptwriter, used the word with deliberate intention or just forgot the difference. Certainly nobody ever says, “So that’s how they caught up with us – they can fly faster than we can.”

Until it was revealed that Young was only dreaming, I was puzzled as heck at how (and when) the aliens had got so fluent in Ancient that they could send more than a one-word message.

For someone as suspicious as Greer, he seems very confident that he can leave Eli and Ginn alone without there being any danger of her getting important information from Eli which she could then use to endanger the crew or help the Lucians take the ship back. He’s also breaking a direct order. But the scenes between him and Eli were adorable.

Young gets called by his first name by two people (and not in the dream sequences). That’s fine, except nobody on the ship apart from Telford has ever done it before, so it’s a bit of a jolt when it happens more than once in a single episode.

I laughed with delight at the Kino footage of Brody finally demonstrating that the ship has toilets! I know it’s one of the most frequently asked questions from the fans to the producers, so that was great fun.

The scene between Young and Scott was superb. Louis was amazing as he showed how much Young was suffering, and Brian – who never gets a lot of chance to shine – did a really good job here. When Young admitted that he killed Riley, I actually gasped.

“Ultimately, I control this ship.” Woah. I think that makes Rush officially the bad guy.

Good episode. Pretty much all the characters had some development and showed a good side; plus the visual effects were great.

Why is Scott not in quarantine with Chloe?

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Saturday, November 06, 2010 - 11:37 pm:

Didn't Tamara say something about his blood returning to normal.

By Callie (Csullivan) on Sunday, November 07, 2010 - 1:30 pm:

Aye, she did. "While Chloe's blood continues to show atypical antibiotic properties, Lieutenant Scott's seems to have gone back to normal."

And in the sci-fi world, that means it's perfectly safe to release him because there'll never be any dangerous side effects that pop up later. Or, at least, in Universe-world, it means that.
