So the final ten episodes have kicked off. Kind of sad to see where they were going to go with the show, knowing that they'll never get there.

Well, this wraps up the story of Telford's new buddies. They sacrificed themselves to help Destiny.

The blue aliens cure Chloe and give her back. What info did they get from her?

Rush is really turning into a decent fellow, it seems.

I loved Scott and Greer's comments about getting paid. Greer: We're getting paid!?

So the Destiny is back underway to their next destination. Nine more episodes to go.

I still say they should let them film a two hour TV movie to at least wrap things up. Some felt cheated at the ending of Voyager, but at least they got home!

An episode called Deliverance and not a banjo in sight. If the writers had any sense of humour, they could have ever-so-subtly included one in a montage of the week at the end.

Oh, where is Jack O’Neill when you need him?! The next Stargate character who says, “To who?” instead of “To whom?” is going to get such a slap from me!

The blue aliens’ ships arrive only seconds after Chloe sent her signal, so they can’t have been far away. I would think the chances are that they would have found Destiny quite soon without her help.

It wasn’t a particularly spectacular shot but for some reason I really adored the way that Destiny powered on through the drones after they all stopped. However, from a scientific POV, why did they stop? Surely they should have continued onwards at the speed they were going when they lost the commands of the main vessel. But just maybe they’re programmed to stop dead when they lose contact.

How did Chloe break Berris’ arm? She took him by the throat and slammed his head against the wall. I checked the footage and the only way his arm could have got broken is if he fell on it as she dropped him. That’s not exactly Chloe actively breaking it for him; she’s only directly responsible for the head wound. Admittedly T.J. doesn’t know this, and Eli probably hasn’t had time to tell anyone what he saw, but still ...

I enjoyed the little fun moment with Chip Adam and Dale in the corridor with the exploding panel.

Until Eli said that they could fit one of the smaller drones into the shuttle, I hadn’t even realised that they were different sizes.

Yeah, OK, I couldn’t help it: I made helpful high-pitched beeping noises as the shuttle reversed towards the drone!

While I find it hard to believe that the shuttle’s thrusters are so sensitive and accurate that they can move the ship just a metre sideways, I was pleased to hear the sounds of two thrusters each time Lisa gave instructions to Scott, one to get the ship moving and another one to stop it.

Camille’s a bit of an itchbay, isn’t she, with her snide remarks to Rush about being nice for once?

Sweet moment when Chloe kissed Young’s cheek.

When Eli got the top of the drone open, I cracked up at the overhead view of Adam nervously standing as far away as possible!

I’m not certain, but the docking port on the side of the alien ship looks enormous in proportion to shots that we’ve seen of the entire vessel.

Lord knows I’m not a fan of Chloe, but her farewell scene with Matt got me very dewy eyed (and not in a “Yay! We’re finally getting rid of her!” way).

How did the aliens get the shuttle doors open? It wasn’t Matt who opened them because he was wrapped around Chloe at the time. I know that the aliens are advanced, but you’d still think that your average shuttle doesn’t have the means to be opened from the outside without some kind of remote control.

Also, to the best of my recollection, Matt’s never seen these aliens before but he doesn’t seem the slightest bit unnerved by their appearance.

I loved Nick flattering Adam and Dale into getting out of the lab!

You’d think that by now they should have worked out how to activate Destiny’s internal comms so that, in a battle situation where Young needs to speak to Rush and Eli in the lab at a moment’s notice, they would have comms open between the two rooms instead of having to scrabble for a radio each time.

The aliens are very kindly creatures. They take Chloe out of her jacket while they’re experimenting – but don’t strip her naked – and then put her jacket back on for her before returning her to Scott! How sweet!

After Nick has outlined the “friend or foe” plan to Young, Young switches channels on the radio and orders Greer and a security team to the lab. He never explains why which, knowing how trigger happy Ronald can be, could have resulted in Nick and Eli getting themselves shot!

As the second batch of drones heads for Destiny, Young orders Scott to get the shuttle away. What’s the point? Where’s it going to go and what’s it going to do if Destiny gets blown up? There are no nearby planets and Scott has no provisions on board. It would almost be better to go out in a blaze of glory than to hang around mourning all your friends while starving (or suffocating) to death. Not to mention that it was established earlier that the command ship has only one purpose – to destroy alien tech – and so as soon as Destiny is eliminated the drones will come for the shuttle.

Apparently the CGI budget ran out before they could afford to film the seed ship doing its suicide run into the command ship and so we had to watch it on playback instead, which was a shame.

Even more annoyingly, moments after the playback graphics show the command ship and seed ship disappear, there’s the sound of a distant explosion. Jeez, Stargate people, have you learned no science At All in the fourteen years that you’ve been doing this series?!

Dammit, now I’ll never get an Ursini for Christmas. *sulks*

Why does the drone in the lab have so many lights (apart from BILC)? If the drones and the control ship are all automated, just who is ever going to need to see them?

There’s a very human moment in the Infirmary when Nicholas walks past Young as they’re talking about the damage report. He just reaches out and almost touches Young’s arm as they pass each other. It’s a really nice moment, except that I would never expect such a gesture from Nicholas Rush, and I wonder whether Robert Carlyle deliberately chose to do it or whether he did it by accident – more of a Bobby thing than a Nick thing.

Alternatively, I guess, Rush is pretending to be Mr. Nice Guy all of a sudden to lull everyone into a false sense of security ...

So has Chloe finally got a purpose on the ship? And is she even more a Math Girl than Eli is Math Boy? And is she really cured or did the aliens just remove all visible signs of her alienness?
