A new Stargate series in the making!
Stargate Origins will be a 10 episode series, each episode being about 10 minutes long. It will be featured on MGM's new digital platform called "Stargate Command" which will be a subscription service, and although they're having discussions about overseas involvement, I'm not yet sure whether people like me in the UK will easily get access.
The series will be about Catherine Langford. According to the blurb, “Young Catherine embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save Earth from unimaginable darkness.”
Although it may not sound terribly exciting immediately, we need to remember that Sanctuary was originally an online webisode series but its popularity resulted in 3 seasons on the TV, so who knows what might happen to this?

As they're now filming this, I've set up a separate topic for it. I don't know if anybody on Nitcentral will be subscribing and unless anyone does and posts comments, I won't set up sub-topics for the individual episodes.
I'm not sure whether any Stargate travel will actually be involved. If the series is about Catherine Langford, I don't see how she can go through the Gate when she clearly never knew that it had been opened before the events of the movie.
They'll have her travel all over the galaxy, then at the end they'll give her amnesia, or reset time, or something. Or they won't give a •••• and rewrite history to suit their needs.

The first three episodes are free: you just have to register at Stargate Command. I'm guessing the other 7 episodes will only be available if you pay.
I've seen episode 1, and although it doesn't happen then, from what I've seen in comments this series breaks the hell out of Stargate movie and SG-1 canon. On that basis alone I'm not sure I'm even going to watch the other two free eps.
