Pilot

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: The Lone Gunmen: Season One: Pilot
Hmm...original name for a beginning episode eh? I believe The X-Files pilot episode was also named "Pilot". Like the Lone Gunmen "Pilot", it too did not contain theme music.

Anyway, Byers' Dad is DEAD! He fell asleep while driving and ran into a bridge pylon... or did he?

How does "Yves del Harlow" become an anagram for "Lee Harvey Oswald"?

1. There aren't enough letters
2. It's missing an "a" and an "e".

(Unless it's Yves del Haarlowe).

I thought it was spelled Eva Del Harlowe....

By Merat on Monday, March 19, 2001 - 9:16 pm:

Hmmm... no "y" never mind... sorry.

By ScottN on Monday, March 19, 2001 - 9:36 pm:

No "s" either, Merat.

By Josh G. on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 7:03 am:

"Yves" is the correct spelling (according to Cinescape) though I can't remember how the rest goes. I do find it kind of strange that she would use "Yves" as her name, considering that its borrowed from French, where it's a man's name.

Hmmm....

By Merat on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 10:36 pm:

Yves Adele Harlow from the official website.

By Merat on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 - 5:32 am:

They tend to run the first two names together, though, don't they? Thats why I thought her first two names were "Eva del" :-)

By ScottN on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 - 9:22 am:

Well, then that removes my objection, since it was missing an "a" and an "e", "Adele" adds the two missing letters...

How come no mention is made of Byers' relationship with Suzanne Modeski?

By Anonymous on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 - 9:57 pm:

Today is September 11, 2001.
Forgive my lack of memory or possible tasteless comment but do I remember one situation in the episode similar to what happened today?

By Brian Webber on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 - 10:41 am:

Anonymous, I mentioned this to my grnadmother. Byers and his dad stopped a plane from being flown into one of the twin towers. That episode aired 6 or 7 months ago!

If the show ever makes it into syndication that ep will not air along with the others for a very long time (remember The Manchurian Candidate and how deeply it was buryed after the Kennedy assasination)

I was just reading the script. and it made me wonder, how long had the terrorists been planning the attack? It would be awful it they had gotten the idea from watching a "b" science fiction show.
If not I wonder if they saw the episode, and got really creeped out when they saw their plan in living color, just without bloodshed.
Makes you wonder, even when you aren't a conspiracy theory person.

By ScottN on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 - 2:40 pm:

Karen, if they'd been planning it for a while, the odds are they got the idea from Tom Clancy's "Debt of Honor".

By Pone on Friday, February 22, 2002 - 10:14 am:

Karen, the 09/11 terrorists also could have seen the Seven Days pilot where a plane crashes into the White House. It seem Flight 93 was either headed for the WH or the Capitol building.
