This was my favorite episode so far. It was just flat out cute.

By MikeC on Saturday, April 07, 2001 - 12:06 pm:

A great episode (especially the Equalizer's guest shot), but I was wishing that Bobo actually was the ruthless enemy agent--it would make things a little more unpredictable. Is there some reason why the vast majority of episodes have to do with love?

By Lee Jamilkowski (Ljamilkowski) on Saturday, April 07, 2001 - 12:12 pm:

Yves in a cleavage-revealing dress. What else can I say?

And it makes perfect sense that only Jimmy would believe in an idea as "crazy" as intelligent chimpanzees. :)

Was it me or did the building across the street from the hotel at the beginning of the episode look a LOT like the E-Com-Con building from Pilot?

Not enough Langly, we did get to see most of the others in action.

I thought the love theme was kinda cute. It just goes to show you that you can totally understand the motavations of a nonhuman. And it was a sweet ending to the episode.

I thought the whole voice/English accent was a kinda funny.

What was the real name of Peanuts, BTW?

By MarkN on Saturday, April 07, 2001 - 2:14 pm:

As the chimp typed out his messages the computer-created voice spoke too quickly, in some cases a split second before the word was typed or completed, and it spoke so clearly, too! More so than they do presently. The ones nowadays still sound like Cylons.

And how could a chimp that small be able to toss a full grown man? Granted, Frohike's not an averaged sized man, but he's still a lot bigger than the chimp. How can a chimp also be able to tie up and hang a man upside-down?

I did like the computer using the voice of Edward Woodard, though.

By Amos on Saturday, April 07, 2001 - 5:36 pm:

I've always heard that monkeys and chimps are quite strong for their size. As for being able to tie up and hang someone upside down. I think he might be able to do it, especially if he got the jump on Langley. And lets not forget he is a super intelligent chimp.

By Lee Jamilkowski (Ljamilkowski) on Saturday, April 07, 2001 - 10:41 pm:

Peanuts's real name was Simon White Pureloins or something to that affect. All I remember for sure is the Simon part of it.

By MarkN on Sunday, April 08, 2001 - 3:49 am:

But Amos (is your last name Moses? Anyone get that reference?), even if he was stronger than an average man, accounting for per pound or however it'd be figured, as small as Simon was he still couldn't've thrown Frohike or tied up Langley like he did. Either one could've grabbed his arms or legs and quickly thrown him away from themselves first. Unless the monkey somehow knocked them out before throwing or tying them up, but there'd be extremely little chance of that happening, too. Of course, this is a fantasy show of sorts.

By Amos on Sunday, April 08, 2001 - 10:49 am:

MarkN, ha ha. :-( I think we've been down this road before.

As the chimp and super powers. I have to agree there is a bit of fantasy in him doing it.

Perhaps the monkey used his brain and science to figure out how to toss him and do the other stuff.

By The only man who is glad that Yves wasnt tied up. on Sunday, April 08, 2001 - 2:17 pm:

Peanuts didn't tie up Langley.

IMHO, Peanuts (aka Simon) tricked Langley (aka Ringo) into tying up himself. Peanuts probably said something like "Mr. Langley, while were waiting on Byers, would be so kind as to assist me with and experiment?

L: "Sure, Simon. What do you want me to do?"

S: "Could you tie you self to that post?"

L: "Sure, but why do you want me to do that?"

S: "It is an experiment in human intelegence. Since you have conducted experiments on me, I seems only fair to allow me to experiment on you> I promise it won't hurt. A promise you have never made to me."

Of course! The old "trick him into tieing himself up trick!"

By MarkN on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 5:31 am:

MarkN, ha ha. :-( I think we've been down this road before.
And perhaps we'll go down it some more, so buckle up!

By Amos on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 9:54 am:

Dont 'mess' with me MarkN. I'll clean the floor with you.

By Mike on Saturday, April 14, 2001 - 2:34 pm:

I'm afraid I do not get the Amos / Moses joke.

I'm afraid I do not get the Amos / Moses joke

me neither. explain it to us unintelligent chimps

By Amos on Sunday, April 15, 2001 - 2:30 pm:

Amos = A Mos = Moses

he ha ah. :-(

It had been brought up on another episode board, and well, it's not that funny or witty or anything.
