For computer hackers they don't know much about computers. A CPU is the central processing unit not the Hard Drive. The CPU they found would not have the data from the reformatted Hard Drive. oops

I love that everything week that just look at a computer without mucking around and declare 'that the hard drive was reformatted'. Like it has some kind of new smell of something to clue them in when it is turned on.

I think that the other cpu was supossed to be a portal hard drive or have one or something.

As for the computer impossibilities. Keep in mind that these guys (or more so Langley) have been able to hack into the DOD and the FBI within seconds and get access to very sensitive information. So I think it's safe to say writers either a) Dont know much about computers or b) Do know but because your average person does not and they want to get the plot moving choose to make it happen quickly.

At least they know when to use "downloading" and "uploading" unlike Trek which constantly gets it wrong.

Also I love it when they look at the little thumbnail/video files and it shows people looking right into the camera... but if that were so then they would have been looking at the guy's glasses on the left ridge. Kind of an odd way to carry on a conversation. You'd think that since the left side can carry pretty dang good video then they could at least have hooked a microphone up to the right side or something.

In the end they got I think $4,000 but they made it sound like they blew it all to get Jimmy's car un-repossessed... now I've never had a car repo'ed before but 4 grand seems like an awful lot.

oh yeah and before I forget...

The memory guy? I don't see the appeal...

He did get Prince's real name right... it really was Roger Nelson :)

Jimmy posing as Skinner! Hilarious!

Mr. Memory was a character in the Alfred Hitchcock/Jimmy Stewart movie "The 39 Steps". Am I right, sir?

By Sir on Sunday, May 06, 2001 - 1:39 pm:

I suppose. Ordinarily, you would get a cookie, but since nobody posed the question to you in the first place....

By Mr. Mous on Sunday, May 06, 2001 - 1:42 pm:

Is there anybody that didn't realize that the woman was a transexual about a quarter way through the episode?

Was Jimmy actually playing Skinner in the end or did they give Mitch Pelleggi some chin putty or something?

By Maagic on Sunday, May 06, 2001 - 2:56 pm:

I don't get what the whole "She-male" thing had to do with the overall story...

By Brian Webber on Sunday, May 06, 2001 - 4:10 pm:

Mr. Mous: She had me fooled.
