Highlander III The Final Demension

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Highlander: The Movies: Highlander III The Final Demension

By Triggins on Sunday, November 29, 1998 - 2:14 pm:

Conner believing he is the last immortal discovers that an old enemy is alive and well and is hunting him. The movie picks up ten years after the fight with Kurgan.

In this movie, the police officer says that Brenda died in a car accident in Scotland. Presumably this was the one seen at the end of the first movie. However, in the second movie's renegade version, Brenda is seen dying in the large hospital ward at the beginning of the movie. I guess this means we are ignoring the second movie (I HOPE!)

By Triggins on Tuesday, February 23, 1999 - 7:50 pm:

That is my hope as well.

By Mihkel on Wednesday, January 27, 1999 - 7:09 pm:

I find it a better idea to ignore EVERYTHING with the name "Highlander" after the ending of the original movie...

By Alfonso Turnage on Tuesday, June 01, 1999 - 7:56 pm:

I actually liked the general plot for the second movie. I think they should redo it.

By Local Immortal on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 - 1:41 pm:

Moving right along, we finally get to see the consequences of the Holy Ground rule in this movie. Unfortuneately, none of it makes sense.
First of all, why is Connor's sword destroyed? Kane's blade was the offending one, so if either of them were to go, it should have been that one. Secondly, why does the Spiritual Center act like it's taking a Quickening afterward? No one was beheaded, so there shouldn't be a Quickening.

On the previous topic, Gary Holmes mentions a car accident at the end of Highlander I. Is this something included in outtakes or something, because I'm positive that there isn't one in the actual film.

By Gary Holmes on Monday, September 04, 2000 - 6:35 pm:

Local Immortal,
No, there isn't one in the film. I meant that they were in Scotland at the end of the first movie. Sorry about the confusion. I was assuming that the accident talked about in the third movie could have happened after the end of the first movie when Conner and Brenda are in Scotland.

Ohhhhhhhhh

Marci buquets, as the dyslexic Frenchman would say.

By Lee Jamilkowski (Ljamilkowski) on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 12:49 am:

From what I understand, the car "accident" was no real accident. I can't remember if it was in the film itself, but I remember some sort of mention that Kell caused the car accident as one of his ways of torturing Connor.

By Local Immortal on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 - 1:51 pm:

It's not in the "official" versions of Endgame, but the expanded DVD does mention it somewhere.

By Douglas Nicol on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 - 3:56 am:

This film is called Highlander 3:The Sorcerer in the UK

By J on Friday, June 17, 2005 - 10:49 pm:

In the US there is no number in the title, it's just called "Highlander: The Final Dimension" probably because it completely and utterly ignores the horror that was Highlander 2, even the marginally less horrible director's/renegade cut.

I don't know if it was released with a number in other countries or not.
