The author did make one mistake here(and possibly the other DS9 book as well)- she writes that Alexander is one-quarter Klingon and three-quarters human. That is backwards- he is more Klingon than human.
I caught that, too. And I *believe* Peter David may have made the same mistake in "Imzadi II".
Is this just another novelization of last seasons DS9 episodes or is it an actual original story? I got book 2 and got it home only to find out that I had seen these already...what a jip!
Maagic, I got it as a gift, but I felt the exact same way about book 2. I haven't read 3 and 4 yet...
1 & 3 are stories 2 & 4 are adaptations of episodes.
The NextGen story was good in my opinion- the ending surprised me a little. I would say more but I don't want to give it away!
Yeah I didn't pick up Book 4 today... I checked it first though.. :) I'm not the kind of person who sits at the book rack and reads half the book before deciding whether to buy it or not.
I knew they were novelizations, but I like them because they give deeper insight in to the character's thoughts. Plus, this book adds much more to the story then we saw in the episodes.
Of course, the novels don't have to wrap things up in one hour.
