I'm confused. Is this episode supposed to be about an asteroid or about T'Pol's engagement. Is one a subplot? Any idea on which one?

For the second time this season, the preview features someone/something falling into a chasm underground. I didn't get to see "Terra Nova," so I don't know how that ended... but isn't it a bit strange?

Sparrow47, people falling in caves is a Star Trek tradition :) It dates at least as far back as the TOS episode with Ruk ("What are Little Girls Made Of", maybe?). The episode with Data's mother had her falling in a cave. "What you Leave Behind" and the first season episode with Sisko, Dax, Kira, and Bashir in a game played by Quark and an alien had them falling into chasms. "Blood Fever"(?) on Voyager had people falling into a chasm too. :) I expect we will see a lot more of this before the series ends.
