I don't really care what this ep is about yet. I just like this title. Although it also happens to be the title of a Star Wars novel that takes place between Episodes I and II.
Star Trek: Attack of the Clones
"Up the Long Ladder"?
Actually it's a typo, the name is supposed to be Rouge Planet and it's about Enterprise discovering a colony of cosmetologists.
Hoshi: Captain, we're being hailed by the planet.
Archer: What do they say?
Hoshi: (pause) Avon calling.
THE ULTIMATE PAL:
Tonight's episode ("Silent Enemy") ended with the usual, "Stay tuned for scenes from next week's Enterprise".
They only say this when next week's episode will be new. (And it is, "Rogue Planet").
But they said that and then there was never any preview!! What is the deal with this?
Was this just a problem with my station or did anybody else have this problem?
See ya later
TUE
My station NEVER airs the promos right after the show. But do they air it as a regular commercial with their own voiceovers. I wonder why they don't show them right after the episode.
We had a preview on UPN13 in L.A. Showed some dudes with red glowing goggles.
You mean CityTV right rene? As I dont get that either. They didnt show em for Voyager either, or more for the first few seasons they did then they just stopped. Anyone have any idea as to why they wont show em?
City did show the previews for DS9, as I recall.
Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) have two settings: 1) active and 2) passive. The passive setting registers infrared (IR) energy from plants, starlight, moonlight, etc. The active setting emits an IR beam that is reflected by object; the reflected energy is then recorded via the NVGs. So tell me, WHY ARE THEY SPOTTING FLASHLIGHTS EVERYWHERE WHILE WEARING THE NVGs????
Anonymous, good nit.
It is so the viewer can see. There is no sound in space but ships go "whoosh" and blow up with a "boom". On TOS the computer made a teletype noise when it spoke (and in the 1960's computer didn't make any noise while speaking.)
It might be explainable in term of the real world, but it is still a nit.
