...Then Captain Archer learns the horrific truth...

The Xindi don't have a number for zero...

By KAM on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 - 7:34 am:

Or worse, each Xindi species has its own number for zero: 0-humanoid; 0-arboreal; 0-reptilian...

Is this the one where we discover that Future Guy is really Hal Jordan & he's decided to reboot the universe to save Coast City?

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I’m gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
It’s lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

And I think it’s gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I’m not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I’m a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it’s cold as hell
And there’s no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I don’t understand
It’s just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man

And I think it’s gonna be a long long time...

ZERO HOUR! Finally, an episode title that matches reality.
Enterprise is approximately 43 minutes long!:)

Re:last comment
You Forgot the time allocated for ad's, Torque.
According to my VCR time duration display, the average duration of a Enterprise Episode is about 39 minutes, not 43 !
( Reason:I'm Recording the series for a non-satellite owning friend & remove the ad's by pausing the tape as a matter of course)

By ScottN on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 5:28 pm:

So we have 21 minutes of ads during a one hour show? Yecch.

By Torque, Son of Keplar on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 7:01 pm:

I downloaded* the episode(comercials taken out), and it said 43 minutes. I realized my mistake is the introduction and theme song. That's most likely where the difference is regarding the 43 vs. 39 minute.

*If Enterprise were for sale at a store I wouldn't download it, or if it was ripped from a dvd I wouldn't download it. But since I wouldn't be able to see it otherwise, I work, and its not in stores, I didn't consider illegal.

(Hey, I shelled out the $100 dollars to buy Season 6 of DS9.)

HEY! This is a Star Trek III Preview!!
One of the screen clips from www.startrek.com has a caption that gives away the conclusion of the episode!!!

Also, Shran is listed as appearing in this episode!:):):):)

Torque, I don't get it. Which caption, and how does that tie into STIII?

It is interesting that the Andorians are back - guess Shran decided to stick around the Expanse (or was ordered to) after losing the beta of the Xindi WMD. I also notice that there are two actors listed merely as "Doctor" and "Officer", which, given the one screen cap that has Archer unconscious on a cot while someone holds what appears to be a kerosene lamp in his face, makes me wonder if there's some time travel to the past involved, and if it involves the Wild West or Civil War or some such. Just speculatin'.

Be interesting to see how they wrap up this year, if at all. Since UPN has apparently committed to year 4, I would like to see this Xindi storyline played out and they get back to the original exploration, but now tempered/shaped by the events of this past year. I see this past season being a real way to develop Earth's insistance on the need for a cooperative federation of worlds/species.

I think Torque is referring to the advertising caption that says something like, "Archer puts his life on the line to stop the Xindi superweapon."

But putting his life on the line doesn't mean he's necessarily going to die (and it's unlikely the show would kill off the captain). In any case, it would tie into Star Trek II or Nemesis.
