"Does this alien species have something to do with the spheres? Hasn't it been stated, or speculated, that the spheres are creating, or somehow transforming, the expanse." Herbert

Either Tripp or T'Pol said his pod was made from the same materials of the spheres. As for you second question, yes, I believe that is the working theory by this point.

Luigi Novi: Where was this scene? (referring to when it is stated that the MACOs have better technology than SF)

This discussion was continued but the question was not answered. Archer said this when he more-or-less ordered Malcom to proceed with the training sessions. Previously; however, it doesn't appear MACO weapons are any more effective than SF.

"The deterioration/disappearance of the AOTW makes sense to me..." Brossa

You have a well-conceived paragraph Brossa, but you mention nothing about why this alien tried to destroy the ship, nor his last words about Xindi vengeance. With his hidden agenda it's more likely that he was altered by the Xindi to destroy Enterprise and this alteration had fatal side-effects.

"I don't care what T'Pol's background on the ship has been like, I have a very hard time believing that any Vulcan would be that... well... slutty." CB

How were her actions slutty? She's been doing neural-pressure treatments with Tripp, an admittedly intimate procedure, for some time and Sim told T'Pol of his attraction to her. If anything she's acting more like a human but hardly slutty.

I'm not positive but I think Archer got the use of a canary incorrect. I always thought the birds were brought down as the miners worked and if it died or became ill, the miners evacuated.

It's nice to see men resolving their differences the old fashioned way, like it should be. When Archer left leaving the major and Malcom standing there I said to myself, "I guess you're dissmised," and then Reed says something similar.

I don't know why some people are so appalled by T'Pol's nudity and that female MACO's revealing clothing. Of course it was done to boost ratings! This isn't the first time this has happened, and I go as far to say it's been done far longer than any of us has been alive. To my surprise though, this was done for good reason this time. I doubt I will ever be appalled by seeing too much skin on beautiful woman; and in Malcom's words, "nice bum!"

Okay, it appears I was a bit hasty with my presumptions about the alien, Brossa. I just watched Azati Prime and the alien has very little to do with the Xindi, but you still don't bring up his actions on the ship.

>>>Sparrow47: Archer definitively states that the MACOs technology is ahead of Starfleet's, which seems really weird, considering that Starfleet's phasers have proven more effective against certain enemies (like the Xindi) than the MACOs' weapons.
Luigi Novi: Where was this scene? I remember Ryan taking out the mining foreman at the end of Act 3 of The Xindi with one shot from his MACO rifle.<<<

When the Reptillian Xindi boarded Enterprise in Rajiin the MACO's rifle fire had next to no effect in them - it seemed to take at least three shots for them to even notice they had been shot. Archers Phase pistol on the other hand took out one of the Xindi in one shot. Or in other words a Starfleet Phase Pistol is more powerful than a MACO's rifle, even though the rifles are meant to be more advanced.
Somehow that strikes me as being wrong.

>>>Captain Dunsel: T'Pol's jealousy. Way out of line for a Vulcan. And as a side note, no human should be able to punch out a Vulcan, even when that Vulcan is emotionally distracted.<<<

T'Pol wasn't punched out, she was knocked off her feet. Even a heavy-weight boxer can be knocked off their feet if they get punched in the face while distracted.

>>>Captain Dunsel: Sparrow47: No, I didn't believe her for a minute! The "experiment" line was just a convenient out for the writers so they don't have to develop a new ongoing relationship. <<<

I LOVED the scene when Trip and T'Pol are talking the next morning. One of the main reasons is because its very much role reversal. T'Pol is blowing Trip off with her version of 'it didn't mean anything' in a way normally done by men to women. Try reversing the roles and imagine Trip speaking T'Pol's lines and you'll see what I mean.

>>>TUE: Where was Archer during these training sessions? He too good to get smacked around by ol' Hayes? <<<

Offical reason; Its not that good to see the Captain getting kicked around by his own crew.

Unoffical reason; If I were Archer I'd be more worried about sparing with Hoshi or Mayweather...All those years having nothing to do but say 'Aye Sir'....

When talking about the training with Reed Archer states that MACO's have equipment three years more advanced than Starfleets.

Nit; Why is no one wearing gum shields while sparing? Does Phlox have something in a cage that can regrow and repair missing or damaged teeth?

Possible nit; Why is Hayes training the crew to use MACO rifles? Shouldn't he be training them to use the weapons they are most likely to be using, such as the Phase Pistol?

Observation; Its nice to see that someone has woken up to the idea that training the crew to use weapons in the armoury - next to the torpedo's and with people on duty walking in and out - might not be one of the brightest ideas. This time they use a cargo bay, away from the high explosives and passing crewmen.

Conner Trinneer said at the "Star Trek" Convention 2 years ago, "That was not Jolene Blalock disrobing...it was her stunt double....Jolene was uncomfortable posing nude in front of the camera...I was disappointed"

(Not a direct quote, mind you,,,but that's the jist of it)
