Did anybody mention this ep was quite similar to One(VOY)?

For a while I was getting very annoyed by T'Pol's behavior, until her performance in engineering when I realized she was not really there. Yes, it took me that long to figure that out but in my defense, I don't recall anybody saying she was also going to be under, only that this nebula, or whatever, effected humans. And speaking of how it effected humans, why did Phlox envision Hoshi all scarred up when the nebula supposedly just effects brain function? Was it really becuause he just watched The Exorcist?

Somebody already mentioned Archer blinking during one of Phlox's visits, but nobody seemed to notice Mayweather smiling during a visit. Porthos is one cute dog. Oh, and I was kidding about the whole "One" thing in my first sentence.

I'm surprised that there was no mention of how poorly T'Pol's eyebrows have been looking for the past few episodes. Sure, I can understand why people were looking at other parts of her body in "Harbinger", but again in this episode, it looks like the make-up person was hungover and just stumbled in long enough to create two huge stripes with the eyebrow pencil. You can even see the shaved/covered-up portion of Jolene Blalok's eyebrows. Sure, I know that Jolene really isn't a Vulcan, but T'Pol is supposed to be and the shoddy make-up does not create that "suspension of disbelief" that we're supposed to have, IMO.

Nit; Phlox fires a phase pistol and hits the floor in front of Porthos (thankfully). However there is no marking on the floor to indicate it was hit. Even if the pistol was set to stun I'd have expected to see a little discolouration on the flooring.

Thoughts; Anyone else expect the Austin Powers theme to start up when Phlox walks into Sickbay naked?

Observations/anti-nits; Someone has been listening to the nitpickers it seems. When he's faced with restarting the Warp Engines Phlox comments 'You want me to read the manual?'. This seems to be a fairly common comment passed by nit-pickers when the crews of various starships/spacestations don't seem to know how their own equipment works.

While he's reading through the instructions for using the Warp drive Phlox seems to answer one of the old nits that goes back to ST The motion picture, if not earlier. It has often been asked why ships couldn't use warp drive in the solar system or near planets. Phlox answers this by reading - 'or the ship is within two parsecs of a Class-C gravimetric field distortion.'
In English this would seem to say that gravity can affect the warp drive. That Enterprise hasn't been affected by this on screen is not necessarily a nit, since we are not told what a Class C distortion happens to be. Its also not a nit for later ships, since their warp drives may be able to tolerate a greater distortion, and it would explain Kirks comments about risking Warp in the solar system in TMP given that the refitted Enterprise had never used her Warp drive before then. I'd assume that if it was a new warp drive they may not have been sure what its tolerances were.
