It's definitely possible to travel to the future, we're all doing it at the rate of one second a second. Seriously, though, relativistic effects means that the faster you go, the slower time occurs for you, so that by going at an incredible speed, you might have experienced a day's worth of a time but a year might have passed while you were in that speed.
