I noted this Pat Benatar clip because it was the first video with spoken dialogue, said by actor Trey Wilson ("Raising Arizona") who plays the father of Benatar's character. If I remember correctly, Benatar plays a runaway in this video. (In real life, Benatar had been already married and divorced by this time.) I'll leave the rest to you, fellow nitpickers.
Pat Benatar did this song last weekend when I saw her in concert. She did acoustically, and it sounded great. Her husband is her lead guitarist Neil "Spyder" Giraldo. From what I saw on stage, they still love each other very much.
Last Friday I'd gotten her 3-CD set, "Pat Benatar: Synchronistic Wanderings", and it's got two versions of this song. One is a demo that's pretty good and the other is of course the one the video was made from. It's a great collection. It's been ages since I've heard "We Live For Love". The remastering really makes this set one to crank the volume up on, too. It's not really a box set per se but instead is one of them fold-up sets and includes a booklet. Does anyone else have it?
Let's see, I have In the Heat of the Night, Crimes of Passion, Precious Time, Tropico, Seven the Hard Way, and Wide Awake in Dreamland. Get a copy of Get Nervous, and I wouldn't really need Synchronistic Wanderings. Of course, I'll have to look at it. It might have something on it worth having.
I don't have her other albums, although I did once have a single greatest hits CD of hers.
She still keeps her first husband's surname as her stage name; her maiden name is Andrejewski (if I spelled it correctly.) I think her and Neil have at least one child. I am thrilled that she is happy in her marriage.
I met Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo at an autograph session at J&R last Thursday (11/20.) I missed her perform, though, as I was in a brutal training session. It let out barely in time for me to buy her new CD, "Go," and have it autographed by them both.
