Weird doesn't begin to describe these..... Also, there is one guy who is almost every Weird Al video, but I can't remember his name....
Wait, is it Dick VanPatten?
Maybe his name is Weird Al?
No, Im being serious here ScottN. There is another guy (besides Weird Al and his band) who is in many of Al's videos. You ever seen spaceballs? He looks like Vespa's father, the king. Who is, I believe, played by Dick Van Patten.
As I recall, Van Patten is in "Smells Like Nirvana".
"Oy Vey! Oy Vey!" - Pretty Fly for a Rabbi!
Ok, it IS Dick Van Patten then! He was also in the Flintstones one and several others...
My favorite Weird AL videos are a tie between "Its All About The Pentiums" & "Amish Paradise". "Headline News" is pretty good, too. My least favorite? "Dare To Be S.t.u.p.i.d."!
I would really wish they did a video of "Alburqurque". Man, that would be something.
I also like the "Amish Paridise" video. I happen to have a video collection my husband gave me one Christmas. I enjoy watching "Like A Surgeon"
"Like a Surgeon" is great, but Al really needs to shave that belly if he's going to wear half-shirts and dance like that.
I think that was the point. Or rather, the joke. Al doing gross-out humor.
"Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard."
All of Weird Al's videos are now on DVD..it's called:
Weird Al-The Ultimate Video Collection
At the time it came out, I thought "Fat" was rather humorous. I thought the funniest part was when fat Al was yelling "HO" (in imitation of Michael) and was handed a hoe. Not sophisticated, but still funny!
The 'fat' makeup was well done too!
Since Jeopardy is in the news lately, due to the "Greatest of all Time" tournament, I revisited Weird Al's "I Lost On Jeopardy" video. It's a funny song and video, with appearances by original host Art Fleming and announcer Don Pardo (the latter in voice over). But, in the (chintzy) recreation of the original Jeopardy set, the exclamation point is missing from the logo.
"Christmas at Ground Zero" gets a lot of flak from dumb people even though it's about mid-eighties Cold War fears of thermonuclear war, not 9/11.
