With the release of Fresh Aire 8, the final album in the Fresh Aire series, I though I might bring up the Mannheim Steamroller. It's extremely late over here, so I haven't much to say about them. Certainly one of the best jazz/new age groups of our time. Definitely one of my favorites. And, sappy as it may sound, it ain't Christmas for me until I've listened to "A Mannheim Steamroller Christmas" at least once. Anyone have any thoughts?
I first saw them when the Yellowstone CD came out. Wow, that must have been 10 or 11 years ago. My girlfriend (now my wife) talked me into going to the concert. We had a great time.
I don't listen to very much classical music, so Mannheim is often as close as I get. I admit that I listen to them mostly at Christmastime, but they are worth a listen all year round. Thanks for the reminder Matthew!
