Buch Dich and Du Hast are two of the coolest rock songs, EVER!
I know "Du Hast" means "I Hate You" or "You Hate Me", or something like that, but what does "Buch Dich" mean?
Or should I be afraid to ask?
I've got a MIDI of "Du Hast" on my PC. Its interesting to hear it done that way.
"Du hast" means "You Have". And "Bück Dich!" simply is "Bend Over!"
Links 2 3 4...
Um, no. I heard the English version of Du Hast (which stunk), and it went like this;
You
You Hate
You Hate Me
As for Buch Dich, you may be right, I don't know.
That's funny. In German it's something like
Du
Du hast
Du hast mich
Du hast mich gefragt...
which is "You have asked me". Just a translation problem as usual.
I don't know. Rammstein DID the English version themselves. Sides, I think it's more like Du hast meich.
Yes, it's always the question what sounds better in the different languages...
In this case we have "du hast = you have" and "du hasst = you hate". One little "s" can make a big difference in the meaning.
According to Babelfish, it's "You haste." Hmmm.
The fish confused "hast"(=have) with "Hast"(=haste). Funny as always.
I have the MPEG of "Du Hast," on the MTV Europe awards.
Awesome song, good-looking men, pyrotechnics...
If you want it, IM me on AIM (at CynicalChick3125).
Have a look at this.

VERY cool fan site, with lyrics and translations (and an alternate meaning for "Du hast"
Got the DVD for my birthday.
It's AWESOME!!!!!

Oh, and the video for "Seemann" is amazing.
And "Links 2 3 4" is good, too.
The song. The video is, um, different..
Third album, Himmelfahrt, confirmed.
Hello, fellow Rammstein fans!
Hello to you specifically, Hannah F. You seem to really like this group, as according to your contributions around this board.
WELL, SO DO I!!!!
I mean, their kind of hard-rocking heavy metal with some keyboard-playing mixed in is "wirklich ausgehzeichnet"! (really excellent)
I like almost every Rammstein song, except for the slower ballads like "Seemann", "Klavier" and "Nebel". Everything else that's fast and intense, I can't get enough of!
And I checked the best fan page about the band there is, herzeleid.com, and there is news about the new single from the fourth album, set for release later this month!
Isn't it something, that for about six years now, this group has been immensely popular in the U.S., despite singing almost entirely "auf Deutsch"? The few exceptions are the completely false and inaccurate English translations of "Engel" and "Du Hast" from the early versions of "Sehnsucht", and their pretty decent cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped" on later versions of "Sehnsucht".
Well, I think it is! I eagerly await their next album!
Later, bye for now.
Hey there. Just to let you all know, this group has released two more albums since I last wrote a post on this thread! And they are called "Reise, Reise" (to travel, or a vacation) And the one from last year, which I bought in Germany, because it is still not yet available in the US, is called "Rosenrot" (Rose Red).
And they both have great songs! But I haven't listened to "Rosenrot" as much as "Reise" because it just came out late last year, and I bought it earlier this year. Anyway, "Reise"'s songs that I like are called "Mein Teil", "Dalai Lama" "Los", "Keine Lust", and the satirical "Amerika".
In case you're wondering why it seems like they released one album after another this time around, as opposed to there being at least three years in between albums (as there were with the first three)what happened was, they released "Reise", but they could not fit every song they wrote and recorded onto it. So there is "Rosenrot" now, which includes the "Reise" leftovers, plus new tracks! How cool is that?
So now, I hope that there can be more Rammstein discussion about their music on this thread! How about it?
Richard Kruspe, the lead guitarist, has a solo album called "Emigrate".
That's it.
And now, on their official site, there is the announcment about working on their sixth full-length album. It will probably come out later this year.
I hope I like it, but I thought "Rosenrot", their last one, wasn't as good as their previous albums. I guess I need to listen to it again!
They released a new CD, "Liebe ist alle fur da" late last year. And I think it's pretty good!
They are no longer popular in the US, but Europeans still like them, I guess.
