They already did, years and years ago. This is why I seldom listen to anything made after 1982.
I don't think music viceos are killing Rock. They just happened to come along in time to film it as it fell to the ground and started convulsing.
I'd have to disagree with almost everything in the last two posts. I personaly do really like classic rock but if you pick up most albums (not "best of" collections that showcase the really good 12 songs that someone did but also the really not so good 40 other songs) and not only was the playing usually more simplistic and the recording medium not as good but the whole feel of the song doesn't match what everyone says about them. I like Alice Coopers stuff but when I first heard School's Out, 18 and Hard Rock Summer all I could think was "this guy was the hardest thing in mainstream rock at the time" it's great music but compaired to NIN, Manson and Rob Zombie it's downright easy listening.
