Anyone ever go to one of those multi-day zillion band concerts?

Examples include Woodstock, Cal-Jams, US, etc...

I was at US'83 on "New Wave Day"... INXS, Divinyls, Stray Cats, Men at Work, The Clash (and a few others I can't remember).

Very fun.

Yeah, I've been to a couple of Texxas Jams. The first one was in 1986. The line-up was Bachman Turner-Overdrive/Keel/Krokus/Loverboy/Dio and Van Hagar, er Van Halen. The second was 1987's. The line-up for it was Farrenheit/Tesla/Poison (Paul Stanley of KISS joined the band to perform "Strutter")/Whitesnake/Aerosmith and Boston.

The only other one I can think of was 1989's "The Biggest Party in Texas History" hosted by Coors Light, I think. (Randy Quaid was it's spokesman.) Most of the concert took place in downtown Dallas. The highlight of it, for me anyway, were the performances by the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. I managed to get to the front of the stage during Stevie Ray's set. I was off to a side though. However, at one point, I'd swear ol' Stevie was looking was looking at me. The main event of the concert took place at the Cotton Bowl, where The Fabulous Thunderbirds and SRV opened for The Who. That was the last time I got to see Stevie Ray Vaughan in concert. I miss him. He was one of the greats.

Well, my boyfriend and I are considering going to OzzFest. Though we both wish we could go to a European show, as there--and only there--one of our favorite bands, Tool, will be on the tour.:(:(

Ahh, well. We're talking about it, and giving it consideration. Would be GREAT.:)

I'm not sure who will be on the tour this year, but..*shrugs* OzzFest and my guy, I'm there.

Today is the day of the big Rolling Stones-post-SARS-celebration concert here in Toronto. There are currently about 450,000 people thronging Downsview Park about five minutes from my house. Other acts include Jann Arden, Sam Roberts, The Guess Who, AC/DC, Justin Timberlake, Sass Jordan, and others.
