Any other drum corps fans out there?

I once had the distinct pleasure of standing on or near the front warning track when the 1978 Blue Devils and the 1978 Spirit of Atlanta played. I started near the field side of the track, and ended near the stand side of the track, never having taken a step.

Those were (at that time) two of the best horn lines in history.

Congratulations to the Blue Devils, who won the 2009 DCI World Class World Championships.

Also to the Blue Devils B corps, who won the Open Class World Championships.

And also to the (newly reconstituted) Velvet Knights, who finished 9th in Open Class. Way to go, kids, you'll always have a place in my heart.
