The XXX soundtrack is great. It's 20 songs: the first 10 songs are rock & techno and the last 10 are all hip hop. Of course I'm a bit partial to the first 10 but I do like some of the others. My favorite from the whole thing is Moby's "Landing" (track 7).

And of course we can't forget Scarface. That movie is such an icon, you see people wearing t-shirts and putting posters on their walls but nobody appreciates that music as much. That's probably because, just by listening to the first 5 seconds of any song, you can tell it was made in 1983. But I love it anyway! Five of the songs ("Push it to the limit," "Rush Rush," "She's On Fire," "I'm Hot Tonight," and "Shake it Up") were later used in the game Grand Theft Auto III.

I personally love the armageddon soundtrack still. ZZ-Top, aersmith and the leaving on a jet plane chantel song.

I wish they had the one of the guys singing it on there too though.

Oooh. I'd say more than half of my CD collection is soundtracks. I have probably 200 of them. For some reason I have not bought many recently, but then I don't see that many movies any more either.

I'll have to look through my collection and pick out some special ones to list. Aside from the obvious ones, probably some that are a bit more obscure.
