Probably one of the most comprehensive box sets out there, it contains all the official Dead output from the time they were known as the Warlocks in 1965 up through the Europe '72 live album - plus a wealth of other material as well, all marvelously remastered and packaged. It retails at anywhere from $125-150, which, considering the amount of material is cheap at the price. I don't even really consider myself a big GD fan at all, but even I couldn't pass this one up - it's a relatively inexpensive way to build an essential and comprehensive Dead collection if you already had practically nothing as I did.
