Numero Uno: John T. Williams.....simply the best.
2. James Horner
3. Danny Elfman
4. John Barry
5. Jerry Goldsmith
6. Miklos Rosza
7. Erich W. Korngold
8. Alex North
9. Ernest Gold
10. Alfred Neuman
What, no mention of John Williams!
He was numero uno on my list, Treklon.
Right above James Horner.
Ennio Morricone
Bernard Hermann
Jerry Goldsmith
(Sorry kiddies, but I would probably only own a couple of Williams' discs, maybe three. But beyond that...)
"Music is a world within itself and a language we all understand."
Which reminds me...
RIP Jerry Goldsmith. 21 July 2004.
John, nice to see you included Miklos Rosza. I love his music for "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad". He was obviously hired for that film based on his work for the classic "Thief of Bagdad". Don't forget Max Steiner's work in the classic King Kong.
