My friend Ed's debut as a music video director.
VH-1, which not too long ago wouldn't touch anything smelling of rap, has two shows on now - The Salt N Pepa Show, in which the show producers are trying to convince the duo to reunite, and Gotti's Way. In that one, rap icon Irv Gotti (nee Irving Lorenzo) is trying to bring his Murder, Inc. label back from the dead. Plus, it now has an awards show - VH-1 Hip Hop Honors.
I'll stick with VH-1 Classic, thank you.
Can't say I'm all that anti-rap. Hell, I just got Akon's Konvicted CD yesterday. It's not too bad. Ska and Las Vegas/Broadway Showtunes are probably the only musical genres I have no love for. But then again, I rarely bother with Vh-1, be it Classic or not.
