Just wanted to let everyone know - "GnR"'s long-awaited album, Chinese Democracy, will finally be released this Sunday, November 23. In the U.S., it will be sold exclusively at Best Buy stores. The album has been in the works since 1994, and has cost a reported $14 million. (I was surprised in 1979, when I heard that Fleetwood Mac's Tusk and Steely Dan's Gaucho had pricetags of $1 million. $14 million spent to record an album is, IMHO, outrageous. I wonder if Axl put up his own money.) More on the record here.
I was disappointed when "Used To Love Her" was left off the Greatest Hits collection of a few years ago. Then again, it's not unexpected to leave a lot off so-called "hits" collections for any artist.

I must say the album has done nothing for me so far. I remember hearing the use your illusion albums and right away they grabbed me. This really seems forced and over-produced. I might have to listen to it a few times but I don't know how long I'm prepared to give it...
