IPods/MP3 Players In General

How many of you have one of these, which you use to take your music on the go?

I must admit, I still listen to CD's on my Sony portable stereo and Sony Discman. I feel no shame with this. I also admit that it is basically the old-fashioned way of maintaining a music collection.

But I haven't been making my own customized CD's of the songs I like of the artists I like for the last eight years for nothing. I have a huge collection of CD's I made myself. And they are all valuble in their own right.

Anyway, I don't know if I would ever upgrade to an MP3 player. I just don't think I need one.

Sometimes, the old ways are the best, and as the other classic saying goes: don't knock it 'till you try it!

I've had a few MP3 players, never an actual I-Pod though. I like them a lot for convince. I had one had like 20GB of memory on it, enough to keep my entire music library. I broke that one. Now I have one with like 1 GB but it's smaller and looks like a USB jump drive. The cool thing with that one is that you just plug it into the USB port on the computer and just drag and drop just like it were a jump drive, no programs or 3rd party applications needed to load the files onto the player.

Well, now I have a 16GB iPod Nano, bright blue. And I love it!

I hope to acquire another one just like it, for my other kinds of music that don't fit on the one I have.

I'm glad I was able to figure out how to use it so fast. It wasn't that difficult, I have some experience with electronics. I will still keep my Sony Discman, but it does not get much use these days!

Also, I'm really glad I picked the iPod and not the Zune. The Zune is more expensive and, from what I hear, not nearly as user-friendly as an iPod!

Looks like maybe you could use one like mine, Brian!

I now have a Classic iPod after my last Nano bit the dust. Good thing I had the warranty, that helped to pay for part of my new one.

It's great, my whole music collection fits on it, and it's only a little over half full. 160 GB's, baby!

One notable difference between the Nano and the Classic is the Nano has an external speaker, the Classic does not. That's OK, though.

I love MP3 players, they are so cool!
