I really like this double CD live set from the two British former Blind Faith bandmates.

I liked Cream, I liked what little Blind Faith I've heard, I liked solo Winwood and solo Clapton. And these two sound great together live, they even did the Blind Faith track "Prescence Of The Lord".

I did not care for Winwood's other two bands, Spencer Davis Group and Traffic, however.

Also, the two did some other blues covers. As some of you know, Clapton did albums with B.B. King and J.J. Cale, and his "Me & Mr. Johnson" was Clapton doing old Robert Johnson covers.

There is also a DVD of this concert, but I will not get that, as the music is enough for me.

Anyone else hear this?

That's because they only did one record, way back in 1969. A lot of good stuff on it, including "Presence of the Lord" and "Can't Find My Way Home." Winwood's vocals (IMHO) have never been better then they were in the latter song. Here's more on Blind Faith, including the controversy about the album cover.

I beg to differ. Traffic did some great stuff, including "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and the superb "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys."

I knew about Blind Faith having only one album, but I had forgotten they did the original "Can't Find My Way Home". On Electronic's third album Twisted Tenderness, they did a cool cover of that song.

As for the other two Winwood bands, it's fine that you like them, Adam. I just don't care for them, that's all.

One other band Clapton was part of, the Yardbirds, I don't think I've heard their stuff before.

As for the Blind Faith album from 1969, it has been rereleased as a double CD. I'd like to get it sometime.
