Snakes, Trains And Digimon
Takato's friends want Takato to introduce them to Guilmon. He agrees and the kids then play with him.
Rika goes to see a play with her grandmother. After the play, she notices a digital field and calls Renamon. Sandiramon is too strong for Renamon. Renamon digivolves, but is still no match of the powerful Digimon. Henry and Terriermon join in the fight.
Takato, busy playing his friends, learns from Guilmon that there's an evil Digimon nearby. Takato's friends want to come too, but he refuses. Kazu hands a card to Takato. Takato and Guilmon join in the fight.
Guilmon digivolves to Growlmon and Takato uses the card to make Growlmon more powerful.
The three Digimon knock Sandiramon down. But, before he dies, he laughs. He tells the Tamers that they may have defeated 2 Devas, but there are 10 more and that there is no way they can defeat them all.
Afterwards, Takato's friends meet the other two Tamers and their Digimon and they run off to play.

I thought it was Impmon who told Takato of the evil digimon?
These Devas are supposed to be pretty fierce warriers, but it seemed like Sandiramon was taken out relatively easily. IIRC he, an Ultimate, was stopped by Growlmon & Kyubimon, 2 Champions. Was he just a weak Ultimate?

By KAM on Monday, November 05, 2001 - 5:20 am: IIRC Impmon showed up & started to tell them, in his own way, then Guilmon started to smell Sandiramon. Presumably if Impmon hadn't have showed up to distract them from playing then 2 more wads of paper would have been stuck in Guilmon's nostrils & he wouldn't have thought to smell for an evil Digimon.

Guilmon : "I smell a Digimon nearby."
Impmon : "Well. I was wondering when you buffoons would realize that there was something going on. They're down there fighting for their dear lives while you're here playing baby and stroller."
So I guess Guilmon and Impmon both alerted Takato
