Goliath

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Digimon: Digital Monsters: Season Three: Goliath
Takato and company find themselves in an abandonned town. They run into Kazu, Kenta, Ryo and Cyberdramon, while Rika and Renamon are still walking around.

Takato asks Ryo about Calumon and Makuramon. Speaking of Makuramon, he still searches for Calumon, who is still lost. Calumon runs into a strange dog, who starts to chase him around the Digital World.

Ryo takes his new friends to a house to sleep for the night. Takato finds a note from his mother, and he has a heart to heart with Jeri.

The next day, Calumon has a brief encounter with Beelzemon. He drives off. Calumon finds his glowing friends and becomes excited. So excited that his head crystal glows, causing three Woodmon digivolve into Cherrymon.

This gets the attention of the Tamers and Makuramon. Unfortunately, Calumon falls into a crevass. Cyberdramon attacks the dragon Digimon Makuramon is riding.

Cyberdramon is able to defeat this Digimon and Ryo must leave with him since Cyberdramon is uncontrollable and wants to fight more.

Supposedly Ryo has been in the Digital Plane for months, but he's surprised to hear of a digimon who doesn't like to fight? Did he just miss those peaceful digimon we saw in Motorcycle Madness? Also the sheeplike digimon that we saw in Brave New Digital World didn't seem very aggressive. Even if he didn't get to those parts of the Digital Plane what about those scarecrow digimon in this episode? Didn't he say they were peaceful?

Supposedly the kids come from a world where Season 1 was a TV show. So how come when the kids saw the empty beds in the room they weren't reminded of the S1 ep where the house was a trap by Devimon?

If Takato's mom didn't have time to say all that, then when did she have time to WRITE all that?

So why did Beelzemon just ignore Calumon?

Majeramon kind of looked like Fin Fang Foom from Marvel Comics.

My nephew Brandon wondered how Ryo could leap high enough to land on Cyberdramon's back.

Maybe Beelzemon just felt battling a rookie (or maybe in-training) would not be worth his time.

Or maybe he realizes he needs to give Calumon and the others time to figure out how to become Mega Digimon ;)

i have seen ever ep and have heard them say the digimon was a tv show/movie/comic or anything else. i assumed season 1 and 2 take place in a different reality then 3 and 4 which would explian why 99.9% of the digimon which were seen in the first 2 seasons no longer appear. the only digimon that comes from the first version is leomon.

haven't heard them say sorry as far as i can tell digimon before season 3 ep 1 is just a card game like magic!

Um no. We've seen many Digimon from season 1 and 2. Not just Leomon. Heck, we've seen Terriermon before.

As for the first two seasons being a tv show, the FK promos mentioned it. Kazu mentioned Yolei in the first episode. Kari was mentioned once.

Even saying that Digimon was just a card game has some problems. Like why the Tamers never seem to recognize the Digimon they battle.

I suppose you could say that Digimon look different up close than they do on TV or a card or whatever. Have any of US seem a Digimon in person? I don't think so...
