D-Reaper's Feast

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Digimon: Digital Monsters: Season Three: D-Reaper's Feast
Synopsis: Although the D-reaper’s attack reduces Beelzemon back to Impmon, Grahni is still able to rescue him. Of course, that doesn’t stop Jeri from feeling guilty over his injury. To make matters worse, the Tamers receive word that the Global Task Fore is about to unleash their own attack on the D-Reaper. Rather than using bombs, the task force throws a swarm of jamming devices into the chaos to disrupt its communication. The jammers turn out to be the work of an old friend of the Monster Makers: Johnny. Unfortunately, the D-Reaper continues to feed off of Jeri’s deepening despair, causing it to become more powerful (destroying the jammers) and grow yet again. Out of ideas, the Tamers are forced to the unthinkable: withdraw.
A week later, the Tamers are still waiting for Hypnos and the Monster Makers to come up with a plan. The D-Reaper continues to expand, even joining together into one worldwide network. The Tamers to accept that things are out of their hands as their families evacuate from the city, but are understandably having trouble relaxing. Johnny explains that the inside of the Chaos is a Quantum Bubble. The Monster Makers decide to start working on a way to create a Black Hole inside the bubble, consuming the D-Reaper. In the meantime, Mizuno gives Henry a Red Card (like the blue cards, just… well, red) that will give the Tamers an edge. Once again, our heroes set out to do battle with the D-Reaper...

Great Line: “Just think how happy you could be if you didn’t work so hard yourself so sad!” Calumon, to Jeri.

Nits: Beelzemon’s fall takes a LOT longer than it should. He keeps spontaneously jumping back away from the Chaos and back. At the same time, the percent of his body that’s disintegrated keeps changing. One second he’s just a head with data flowing out the back, the next he’s got everything but hands and feet.

This episodes marks the first time it’s actually been said Digimon aren’t divided into gender. So, I guess all the times in every series that a Digimon was referred to as a “he” or “she” was just a mistake? I mean, it’s easy to excuse that way when a human does it, but what about the times that Digimon refer to each other by gender? So, which is actually the nit, this line or all the others? (Actually, never mind that. Are you going to tell me that Angemon and Angewomon have no gender?)
