Ah, yes. The Ewok Adventures. A heartwarming tale of a little girl and her brother searching for their family.

The Battle for Endor. A heartwarming tale of the little girl's familly getting brutally slaugtered by space pirates.

Add in Ewoks learning Basic, and convieniently forgetting it in the sixth months or so it is until ROTJ (acording to the Star Wars timeline) and the complete lack of Imperial presence.

What Quality.

Ah, well. The first one was actually so-so, as fantasy films go. The second one... well, at least it had a Dathomirian Nightsister.

I know. It kind of made the first one seem pointless. Oh, you saved your parents, but now they're dead anyway, and your big brother too! And in an area of the franchise just custom made for little kids! What were they thinking?

Huh. I always assumed these came after ROTJ if they were to be connected to the real movies at all. I mean, if they already knew some humans and befriended them, why do they assume Luke & co. are food?

Apparently it wasn't enough to rename "Star Wars" "A New Hope", Lucasfilm has also renamed "The Ewok Adventure" "Caravan of Courage" for reasons unbeknownst to me. "Ewoks: Battle for Endor" remains the title for the sequel.

I haven't seen these two in years. I'm sure I still have the tapes I made from the original airings, but where I'm not sure.

Well, acording to the Star Wars Timeline, these movies took place about the same time as ESB.

Also, I think "Caravan of Courage" was a foreign market release name, and they opted to use that because it sounds SLIGHTLY less corny than "The Ewok Adventure."

Not in my opinion. And at least "the Ewok Adventure" tells you what to expect, as opposed to something as generic as the other title.

I don't see any way that could be possible. It has to either be post Jedi or else in an alternate reality.

Please tell me the timeline doesn't also list the Ewok cartoons....

:)

I dunno about the cartoons. But it seems to me that the movies couldn't be post-Jedi either, because there are no signs of former imperial or rebel presence, no signs that anyone's ever heard of Endor, and no sign that the Ewoks have ever seen off-worlderds before.
(Although, there are, of course, numerous problems with it being pre-Jedi as well, especially the whole speaking Basic thing...)
Also, isn't Wicket still considered a youngster/lower in status than he appeared in ROTJ?

Delted scene from the Battle of Endor:

Medium shot of old Noah's ship as it zooms away into the sky.
Medium close-up as Teek and Wicket wave goodbue.
Wipe to:
Long shot of the moon of Endor as old Noah's ship angles away, heading for deep space. Heroic music blares through the void as the engines pulse, breaking free of the moon's gravity. The camera follows the small point of light as it arcs away towards a bright new destiny. Then it explodes.
Pan up to: Close-up, partially completed Death Star and Imperial fleet. The shot pulls back through the window of the Super Star Destroyer Executor to the worried face of Admiral Piett.

Piett: Oh dear... how did we miss THAT when we did the shield generator location survey?

Crewman: Unknown, sir. Perhaps they were hiding behind the crashed band of marauders and the force-using witch?

Piett: Ahem... yes. I think, perhaps, that we'll keep this little... discepency... to ourselves. No need to inform Lord Vader. Carry on!
Fade to:

Medium shot of Teek and Wicket walking arm and arm through the Endor forest, satisfied that both their peoples and their absent friends are headed for a bright, new future. As they disappear from sight, an Imperial shuttle sets down in the clearing.

FADE OUT.
END CREDITS.
