Every five minutes during the first 3 movies, Padme' (Amidala) is changing her clothes and her hairstyle.

Well, Adrian did the same thing in the Rocky movies, too, I believe. At least after she and Rocky finally had some money!

Seeing as Padme was a Queen and then a Senator, I suppose she had no shortage of clothes in her royal wardrobe!

There is a lot of crazy stuff: things that we take for granted aren't actually mentioned on film.
Palpatine's name isn't mentioned in the OT.
Boba Fett's name is first said just when he is about to die.
Leia's surname isn't used at all.
Ewoks aren't mentioned (much less names like Wicket...)

Palpatine's name isn't mentioned in the OT.

And yet it was mentioned in the prologue to the Star Wars novelization released before the first movie opened.

I reread the book for the first time in mumble mumble years and was surprised to see him named and even a relatively accurate, from a certain POV, telling of events later fleshed out in the prequel series. The main difference being the idea that Palpatine was a nice, old guy manipulated by corrupt behind the scenes individuals.

Boba Fett's name is first said just when he is about to die.

Was it mentioned in the Holiday Special?

Ewoks aren't mentioned (much less names like Wicket...)

Suuuuure, just ignore the two Ewoks films. They existed, they were watched.

Poor little Miss Miller of the Ewok movies. At least Aubrey has dignity. "Aubree" sounds like an air freshener.

Of course from a nitpicking POV only information from the movies counts, but in reality every character had a toy which would have had the character's name and other info on the packaging, so millions of little kids knew who these characters were even if their name didn't get mentioned on screen.

There's a wonderful documentary called Plastic Galaxy that talks about the impact of Star Wars toys.
