The Protector of Concord Dawn:
Season 2, Episode 13.
Harrowing that Hera got seriously wounded here.
Pretty good episode especially how Rau allowed the Rebels safe passage through the Concord Dawn.

The Forgotten Droid:
Season 2, Episode 19
Fun episode that largely featured the two droids Chopper and AP-5 as they found themselves making an unlikely team.
Funny at the end about certain parts meant for one of them.

The Holocrons of Fate:
Season 3, Episode 3.
Kanan takes Ezra to see the Bendu just Maul makes his return.
Enjoyable episode including towards the end with the visions Ezra and it remains to be determined what they mean.

The Wynkahthu Job:
Season 3, Episode 9.
Fun episode involving the aforementioned job.
What a surprise on the content of that crate at the end.

By Josh M (Joshm) on Thursday, January 26, 2017 - 1:12 pm:

Nit for Wynkahthu. Well, not necessarily a nit, more like a question. When Ezra and Zeb are hanging by the severed cable, they leave one of the cables attached to the crashing ship even as it begins to be crushed by the gas giant's higher gravity. Do they not detach that cable because the sudden jerk up the Ghost would make as soon as it's loose would have no doubt caused Zeb and Ezra to lose their grip?

Also, surprising you need Kanan to lightsaber that other cable. Seems like there should be a fairly simple release, but maybe they were being dramatic.

Secret Cargo:
Season 3, Episode 18.
Senator Mon Mothma is inserted into Rebels here as she is revealed to be the said cargo.
Quite thrilling when the Ghost went through the nebula and very bold of Senator Mothma in presenting her message as she announces her resignation from the Senate in order to promote the cause of the Rebel Alliance.

Secret Cargo is one of, if not the, best episodes of the series in terms of writing and connection to the movies IMHO. I can't say I'm a big fan of the show, but I do keep up with it and every so often I am surprised by eps like this.

I knew once the explosive nebula gas was mentioned it would be a plot device. The star destroyers still seemed too far away from the nebula to damaged that badly.

The way in which they refueled ships was quite impractical. The pilot had to dock with the Ghost and someone inside the shielded cargo bay (or something) had to manually attach the fueling hose. There's no automated fueling system they could use/build, or perhaps dock directly with the fuel tanks themselves? Just because they're the scrappy Rebels who don't get nice things doesn't mean they wouldn't try to work smarter not harder.

By AWhite (Inblackestnight) on Saturday, March 11, 2017 - 2:03 pm:

Aaannndd we're back to the mediocre/filler episodes. I know it's well established that droids in SW can exhibit sapient behavior, but it's so inconsistent that it seems like the droids are able to choose when it can act like a living being; almost as if TPTB only do it when it suits the plot.

So some Lobot-like Imperial Security people take over Chopper and instead of simply observing and trying to blend in they rush to get info that may or may not lead them to the Rebel base

Hera is able to boost the signal back to the spy ship to the point it explodes!? Short out a few systems and maybe damage their computer memory sure, but to blow up the whole while Chopper still working fine? Yeah, that makes sense...

Twin Suns

Well, they finally did it. I honestly didn't think they would, considering he was brought back to life to boost merch sales not that long ago, but Maul was terminally wounded by Obi-Wan in this ep, and I'm relieved it wasn't some ridiculously drawn-out battle. Maul's last words were also a bit interesting, and between the music and Kenobi watching over the Lars home at the end it was quite touching.

I would've preferred for Kanan to be more involved, considering this was a Force-driven episode and he's the one training Ezra in the first place (not to mention I find Kanan far more interesting a character), but overall I think it was a well-done ep.

However, did anyone ever say how Twin Suns referred to Tatooine? It seemed Maul just happened to figure it out without any explanation, and Ezra just showed up there.

Twin Suns:
Penultimate story of season 3.
Fascinating that this episode begins with Darth Maul delivering a line that could easily come out of Shakespeare.
After making his debut in The Phantom Menace followed by appearances in The Clone Wars and then in Rebels this episode truly marks the end of Maul after an encounter with old foe Obi-Wan Kenobi. Despite being a villain Maul’s demise feels more of an emotional sense than of euphoria.
Fascinating that the end of this episode has a glimpse of Luke Skywalker and the future that is to come for him.

Zero Hour

Alternate title: Deus ex Machina

I'd still say Star Trek has more egregious get out of jail free plot devices, but Bendu's involvement at the end is just plan lazy writing. I think anyone who's been paying attention could guess that Sabine was going to make an appearance, and that their base was as good as found, but as far as I'm concerned the season finale was Twin Suns.

Zero Hour wasn't a bad two-parter IMHO, it just wasn't the epic showdown it should've been. While Thrawn did genuinely play the genius tactician he did in the books for the most part (finally!), everything remained pretty much status quo. Aside from one expendable Rebel leader, no major characters died; not even Kallus! Maybe TPTB felt that since Maul died in the previous ep they could get back to glossing over this whole Galactic War thing with another dumb Imperial leader and little in the way of heroic sacrifice. So now it appears things are lining up for Rogue 1 and ANH with the Alliance going to Yavin 4. I'm sure next season will bring more familiar faces, and possibly even extend into movie territory.

Zero Hour Part 2:
Part 2 of the season 3 finale.
Quite impressive by what Bendu does here.
The third season and this episode ends on a glum with a blow to the Rebellion but there is still hope for the future.

Heroes of Mandalore Part 1:
Season 4 opener.
Good opening to this the final season with the rescue of Sabine’s father.
Quite shocking that the cliffhanger is marked by the revelation that the weapon that was used against the Rebels is one that Sabine had designed for the Empire.

In The Name of the Rebellion Part 1:
Season 4, Episode 3.
Quite impressive that in the nick of time that Ezra and Sabine gets saved from the situation they were in by Saw Guerra.
This lead to Hera what is going to happen o Ezra and Sabine with Saw with them.

By Matthew See (Matthew_see) on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 - 7:57 pm:

Flight of the Defender:
Season 4, Episode 6.
Very good episode about the new TIE Defender.
Quite moving when the episode looks at the Loth-Wolf and what effect it had on Ezra.

By Matthew See (Matthew_see) on Monday, November 27, 2017 - 9:15 pm:

Kindred:
Season 4, Episode 7.
Thrilling revelation about the Loth-Wolf and leading to the tunnel at the end.

A World Between Worlds:
Antepenultimate story.
Ezra meets up with Ahsoka here and intriguing what they see here relating to wolves.
Interesting the place it leads to at the end.
