Synopsis:The story begins as the Trade Federation attacks the planet Naboo. Queen Amidala and her entourage excape (including Qui-Gon Jinn, young Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme, and R2-D2.) They excape the blockade, but suffer damage to the ship’s hyperdrive. They stop at Tatooine, a planet that is not part of the Republic and is controlled by the Hutts.

Arriving at Mos Eisely, they find the parts they need. Unfortunately, their money is no good on Tatooine and they only thing they have of value is the Queen’s wardrobe. Qui-Gon Jinn finds a young Jedi slave named Anikin Skywalker and sponsors him in Jabba’s Boonta Eve pod race. He also makes a side bet with Anikin’s master that will give Anikin his freedom if Anikin wins.

Anikin wins the race and travels to Coursacaunt to get the assistance of the Republic. Either the Queen or her decoy calls for a vote of no confidence in the Senate leader. This eventually puts Palpatine in charge of the Senate. Thus, out heroes return to Naboo to prevent the Trade Federation from taking over Naboo. They defeat the Federation, but Darth Maul kills Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-Wan agrees to train Anikin in the ways of the Force....
