Someone suggested adding a board for Star Wars Radio Dramas, so here it is.

I recently made a cross-country trip and listened to the radio drama. I found it fascinating as most of the events in the drama are things that we never saw on-screen. There's a portion that takes place on Alderaan, before Leia steals the plans. And there's a scene that plays a lot like the scene from TPM (with Artoo effecting repairs on the hull of the ship).

But most importantly to us nitpickers, the radio drama addresses the question of Threepio's selective memory (knowing who the princess is, then later not knowing). His memory was wiped.

You forgot to mention that Lucas's love of drag racing makes another appearance. Luke's race with Fixer parallels Anakin's.

The radio dramas make it clear what Luke is referring to when he tells Biggs(?) that it'll be "Just like Beggar's Canyon".

Where these dramas adaptations of the Film soundtracks or total rerecordings?

It's more than just a few new scenes.

Let's put it this way. The movie runs about 121 minutes.

The radio drama is 13 half-hour episodes.

I highly recommend the radio dramas to all three films. They're great.

BEST SCENE:

Vader interrogating Leia by saying:"Your father wants the plans" (or something in that vein)

It's totally priceless, because we all find out later that Vader (Anakin Skywalker) is really her father!

Across Australia, they've been running promos for a radio series called Lost Cause IV - There's No Hope! It's a comedy, a parody of Star Wars. Does this happen alot?
