Casting The Archangel Trilogy

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: L.I.C.C.: The Archangel Trilogy: Casting The Archangel Trilogy
By Srussel (Srussel) on Sunday, December 31, 2000 - 10:53 pm:

Hello. Sax Russel here. Brian Webber has asked me to host this, what he calls the LICC2 spin-off. Anyway, here's the info he sent me.

Greymoran, KEY, and Jake Grey will be played by Brian Webber.

The wise-alecy ships' computer Carrie is going to be played by me. Thanks for the opportunity! I think I'll enjoy making snide remarks, and not get yelled at for it.

The parts of KEY's wife Rita, security robot Hudzen, and future crew members (Brian tells me he'll allow two to four, but no more) are as yet uncast.

That's what this board is here for. There will be, according to Brian's instructions, no story or anything here. It'll only be for people taking up parts. Once that's out of the way, we can start the story. Brian left some details about Rita and Hudzen, but it's getting late and I'll post themafter I've gotten a good 8 hours of sleep.

By Brian Webber on Sunday, December 31, 2000 - 11:30 pm:

Don't bother Sax. I can handle it.

What is the XDCA?: The Extra-Dimensional Control Agency was an organization of people and devices originally formed to combat dimensional skipping monsters. Later, as XD Pirates started skipping around raiding ships, the XDCA gained support form various universal Governments, including the United Federation of Planets, and the New Republic. The XDCA came to an end when the Home base on the Nexus planet (a planet that exists in every universe at once) Avalon was destroyed by former XDCA agent Jacob Grey.

Rita Yeager: Light brown hair that falls casually on the shoulders, deep penetrating green eyes, a strong snese of honor, 11 years KEY's senior, intelligent, expert kickboxer, ace pilot, and extreme potty-mouth. Occasionally loses temper, and goes into a violent barbarian rage, that either runs out by itself, or is ended by KEY simply saying the phrase "Rita my dove."

Hudzen: After the Hudzen broke down during an existential crisis on the Red Dwarf univers epsiode The Last Day, the XDCA resuced him, adn rebuilt him. He lives by the code of the XDCA, to put down any attempt to destabilize the multi-verse, and was fiercely loyal to jake Grey before he began his campaign of terror. Hudzen is torn between his desire for vengance for the millions of innocents who have already suffered, and protecting the XDCA's last surviving active member, Greymoran.

Carrie: Wise ass computer, similar to Red Dwarf's Holly, only smarter. She was the primary A.I. for the XDCA's largest space station, X-SS-47, before a surprise attack by jake Grey's forces destroyed it. Carrie transferred herself to a Deifant class ship that had recently been completed in the station's construction bay, and escaped, barely. She spent weeks searching for Greymoran, and any other XDCA agent she could find. She has so far been unsuccesful, but Greymoran won't let her give up.

The Archangel: The Defiant class ship that Carrie rescued. Greymoran chose the name for personal reasons. It was the name of the boat that he and Radagast had sailed on Mon Calamari after their stint at the Magic Schools of the Forgotten Realms planet, their original planet of origin.

Hope this is an adequate set-up for everyone.

By Jackson Tacoman on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 11:54 am:

A wormhole opens, and a shuttle exits out of it. The shuttle bares the logo of the LICC. The Archangel is hailed, and the face of Tacoman appears on the viewscreen
Tacoman to Greymoran. I am actually a clone of the original Tacoman, who decided to give you all the help he could. Inside this shuttle are all the weapons and data he could fit. I also have with me the current CyberTec catalog, so I should have no problem finding armor.
Also, for the sake of convenience, I will use my first name of Jackson. Permission to land, Father

By Ahz the Wanderer on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 2:47 pm:

A swirling tear opened in the space time continuum on the bridge of the Archangel and a figure stepped out. As soon as the figure crossed the thresh hold, the portal collapsed.

The figure was humanoid and looked about 25 years old (he was really over 300). He had shoulder length blond hair and bright blue eyes. He also had long, pointed ears, longer and pointer than a Vulcan. The young man was wearing a green tunic with heavy leather boots, leather gauntlets, a leather belt with a gold buckle, and a green hat. He carried no apparent weapon. He was also wearing a long, brown cloak with the hood thrown back.

Greetings. The figure bowed to Greymoran. My name is Ahz (pronounced "as"), and I am a member of the group known as The Wanderers. Perhaps you have met one of my fellow Wanderers, Adon, who is staying in the LICC universe. But I digress... I have come to offer my services as an interdimensional traveler and warrior.

By Jackson Tacoman, the clone ranger on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 3:40 pm:

By this time, Tacoman has been given permission to dock with the ship and has been escorted to the bridge
Hi Ahz. I happen to be a friend of Adon. He is part of my crew... at least, the original me...

By Brian Webber on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 8:00 pm:

Greymoran: Welcome Jackson. I see you figured out my little secret, but I have bad news. I though I was your father. So did your mother, but Radagast cast a confusion spell and made love to her to get back at me during a childish feud. He's your father.

Ahz, we will be gald to have your help. We're en route to one of the sub-DS9 universes. Jake Grey destroyed the planet Bajor there, but left DS9 intact, albeit damaged heavily. We're hoping he left a clue as to his next target there.

NOTE: This is gonna happen in The Hunt For Jake Grey Part I which is gonna go up as soon as Hudzen and Rita have been cast.

By Jackson Tacoman on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 8:53 pm:

I suspected as much when Radagast came to me in frozen time and said something about exploring my evil side or something like that
Searching the shuttle to see what was brought
I see that the original Tacoman and Milkshake were kind enough to send along a replicated copy of cyber-armor... Hey.. Instant Redshirts, just add water... probably something we picked up in the cartoon universe...
Tacoman dons the armor, and notices something interesting
Good. All data information still intact. It seems that the folks at the LICC universe will try to send reports on their progress when they can, and that we should send reports when we can.
Greymoran, as a child and nephew of powerful people like yourself and Radagast, what powers might I posess that I don't know about yet?

By Brian Webber on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 9:24 pm:

Greymoran: You may, emphasis on may, have the abilities of the Sorcerer. Unlike me, you'd have magic as an instinct. You won't have to learn spellls, or read scrolls. It'll be all in you. The down side being, you can't pick and choose like me or Radagast and others like us could. Your mother was from The Pretender universe, and may have the gene. If so, you might also have superhuman learning capabilities. A simple genetic test will confrim this though if you're willing. But, keep it from your clone, my son, Jackson. I don't want that life for him. He's a good starship captain, that is his destiny. I fear that this will change things. When I called him son, it was a slip.

Question from BW: Should we continue to wait for the rest of the cast, or should I just go ahead and start Part I?

By Srussel (Srussel) on Wednesday, January 03, 2001 - 10:23 pm:

Go ahead and start part I, and just play Rita and Hudzen by yourself. Oh, and you'll have to play Carrie too. I just don't have the time. Sorry.

By Jackson Tacoman on Thursday, January 04, 2001 - 6:32 am:

Yes, I am willing to do a genetic test. And if it proves that I have various capabilities, I'm willing to train while we're battling the forces of evil.
And, as being the clone of Tacoman, I bring along his skills... of being a good captain, of being able to think on my feet, of being a pretty decent guy.
Plus, the large number of weapons and the CyberTec catalog should come in handy too.
Hmm... I've always thought that my immortality came from that superhero accident... I guess there was more to it then I thought...

By Greymoran on Thursday, January 04, 2001 - 10:15 pm:

Greymoran: Actaully, the XDCA did a study. Prolonged exposure to Dimensional portals, aritifcial and otherwise, almost tetruples the maximum lifespan. I'm here mainly thorugh a few time-travel accidents. The oldest living XDCA member was 670 years old. But she was there from the beginning. And she didn't look a day over 400.

By Brian Webber on Saturday, January 06, 2001 - 1:16 am:

Sax: OK, I'll take over Rita and Carrie, but someone else has to play Hudzen! Until Hudzen is cat, we cannot start the game!

By Josh M on Sunday, January 07, 2001 - 4:28 pm:

I'll be Hudzen.

By Brian Webber on Sunday, January 07, 2001 - 4:33 pm:

Josh: Sweet!

By Brian Webber on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 3:20 pm:

I just realized I totally forgot about that Terok Nor thing. Oh well. Best to just forget about it.

By Srussel (Srussel) on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 8:29 pm:

Hope you don't mind Bri, but since the casting is complete, and the adventure has already begun, I'm removing the Add a Message here. 'Kay?
