By BladeWolf on Wednesday, January 10, 2001 - 10:17 pm:

Uh....

L.I.C.C.:

Sgt Milos Fortesky
Lord of the Hamburgers
Blotzus
B.I.G.G. M.A.K.K.
Female Redshirt (she's indestructible!)
Rocket Ranger

I also know the identity of Thunderhead, although I've been sworn to secrecy...this person had not posted on the boards before then, and hasn't posted since...basically, I banned them when I found out! (Nawdle, don't get mad at me when you read this; I'll explain later)

Fantasy RPG (I refuse to call it Novaquest):

Dhalric Blacksilver

I've also posted as Anonymous and I admit it was me who posted the Shaft parody on the Greymoran board, but I won't admit to anything else, because that's all I've done!

By BladeWolf on Thursday, January 11, 2001 - 3:34 am:

About Thunderhead...

Thunderhead was one of my cousins that I told about the boards; he was reading the boards, and knew how much I disliked Ubermensch and decided to get involved.
I was completely clueless until recently, and told him not to post anymore; he can't anyway, because his modem is broken and won't be fixed for a few days (it keeps making strange noises and his computer locks up soon after he logs on to the `net).
The reason I banned him is simple; he's immature (he's 17, but acts like he's 12) and won't follow the rules. I feel he proved that with his Thunderhead posts. As a matter of fact, I at first thought he was the person posting as Dramatic Effect, but I realized it wasn't his style, and that his modem's still not fixed.

By Padawan on Thursday, January 11, 2001 - 11:45 am:

Now we have to figure out who Ubermensch was! I thought it might be Electron given his annoying style and Germanity. I wonder...

Brian Webber? Possibly.

By Matt Pesti, Author of the Ubermensh on Thursday, January 11, 2001 - 11:47 am:

That little last man, When the coup occurs ve will die.

By Padawan on Thursday, January 11, 2001 - 11:50 am:

Yep, you'd have been my second guess, Pesti-o. So, was my list (on the cast suggestions) right? Any wrong? Any I missed out?

By BladeWolf on Thursday, January 11, 2001 - 3:16 pm:

Matt was Ubermensh?! I don't believe it! I really like Cascerot over in the Fantasy Rpg! How could the same guy be the one who wrote Ubermensh?!

(The reason I didn't like Ubermensh was because the way he talked reminded me of a cross between Artie Johnson's German Soldier from Laugh-In, and Arnold Schwartzenegger on drugs...no offense, Matt!)

By The Red Guy on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 3:22 am:

Does anyone here know who the 'Bad Singers' are?

By Padawan on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 11:20 am:

I suspected Ubermensh might be Matt Pesti by the deus ex machina, new most-powerful-force style of the character, plus the mention of religious artefacts. Also, I thought BW could probably spell "Baldur" properly!

As for the singers - no idea. Maybe Obsy or JD, maybe KAM...

By Bad Singers on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 11:30 am:

BladeWolf can be really cool
his fur is long and scraggly,
and if you scratch behind his ears
his long hairy tail he'll waggly!

Really he is just a man
and not a wolf or dog,
although when you steal his soup
he'll whack you with a log!

But he is quite a nice guy
and very literate too,
but be sure to hide your doggy treats
or all of them he'll chew!

YAAAAYYYYYYYY BLADEWOLF!!!!

By BladeWolf on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 12:51 pm:

:(

By BladeWolf on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 12:56 pm:

I can spell Baldur properly, Padawan! (When have I ever mentioned the name, btw? Or are you confusing me with Thunderhead?) Incindentally, the name of the Norse god can alternately be spelled Baldour or Balder. I've seen it that way in various translations.

By Padawan on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 1:06 pm:

No, BW = BRIAN WEBBER!!! Not BLADE WOLF!!!

Initials are very confusing. Take the letters TP for instance.

By BladeWolf on Friday, January 12, 2001 - 11:45 pm:

I see your point....

By The Red Guy on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 1:43 am:

I like that one Bad Singers, why don't you copy it to the singles board?

By The Queue on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 6:13 am:

No one's figured out who we are yet?

Even after we left that clue on the Saving LICC board?

And that was a BLATANT clue!

Or even the lesser clue on the Why I never left Ohio board.

Why wouldn't somebody want to leave Ohio?

Don't get off-topic.

Sorry.

Let's hope it doesn't devolve into random guessing, like Bob, Tom, Frank...

Too many of them around as it is.

...and they explain why they think we are who we are.

By BladeWolf on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 11:17 am:

Lets see: Padawan admitted at the beginning of the board to being Representative of the Queue and the Pete the Queue...therefore...... don't know about the Ohio stuff; remember, I'm a fairly recent newcomer....incindentally, my favorite baseball team is the Cincinatti Reds.....

By Padawan on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 12:51 pm:

I'm not the Queue, or I'd just have posted as the Queue instead of one of their line. I needed someone to take care of breakers of the Queue's rules.

By Alpaca Man on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 2:44 pm:

Didn't Kira confirm that the Queue was Chris Ashley? Heavily involved in PhantomReturns and early LICC...hasn't been seen around much.

By Padawan on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 3:34 pm:

That's what I thought too, and Kira knows Chris Ashley. But the Queue said they weren't him, or Matthew Patterson.

By BladeWolf on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 5:39 pm:

And I'm sorry for blowing up on the L.I.C.C. boards recently. I really owe an apology to Jake; I didn't know he had this O'kak storyline planned all the way back in September. But....can we please stop the crossovers with other universes for a while after the alien invasion story is through? First we do the Forgotten Realms, now we've got Babylon 5! I'm half-tempted to have the Voltron Force or G-Force show up!

By Brian Webber on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 5:48 pm:

I have played the following people in LICC and Greymoran's Revenge

Greymoran
Radagast
Carrie
Rita Yeager
Keith Yeager
President John J. Sheridan
Minsc
Xan
Maya Toitovna
Various Amnish Guards and Rangers
Jake Grey
Misc. Redshirts

By Jake Dominguez on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 6:28 pm:

Don't worry about it, BladeWolf...

I felt I had to start the O'kak story because everyone was asking what was up with TerrSec. As soon as I sent off the post, I remembered about you waiting to use LotH and felt pretty bad.

Well, you know...this isn't your typical "alien invasion" story. Commander Milkshake's most personal nemesis, High Warlord O'kak, has fulfilled his dream of defeating the Terran Military and capturing their homeworld! And Taconator, one of the League's oldest enemies, escaped from certain destruction in the 64th century and is now teamed with another powerful villain to get his deadly revenge!!!

I was hoping this to be sort of an epic, something to boost the ratings.

By BladeWolf....the Legendary Journeys on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 7:25 pm:

Don't sweat it, Jake. It's my fault as much as anyone's, but if anyone starts thinging about doing another plot after the alien invasion\Taconator story instead of letting me do mine, THINK AGAIN!

By Whiny Redshirt on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 9:51 pm:

Wait..I've got a great idea where Tacoman's mother's second cousin's father's former roommate turns out to be Marshal Ancine, and...

The redshirt is sliced and diced by BladeWolf.

By BladeWolf on Saturday, January 13, 2001 - 10:41 pm:

Whoever made that last post, it wasn't me, but I approve! :)

By The Red Guy on Sunday, January 14, 2001 - 5:54 am:

SOMEONE ADMIT THAT THEY ARE THE BAD SINGERS, PLEASE!

By Bad Singers on Sunday, January 14, 2001 - 10:47 am:

We never admit it
When we are someone,
We laugh all the time
and have a lot of fun!

People seem to like our songs
This makes us extremely happy,
We just smile and smile again
until our lips are chappy!

We don't mean to torture you
or make you very mad
but this is the way we are
we are the Singers, Bad!

YAAAAAYYYYYYY US!

By BladeWolf on Sunday, January 14, 2001 - 3:26 pm:

I wonder if Bad Singers and Furby are the same person?

By Furby on Sunday, January 14, 2001 - 8:49 pm:

No.

By The Red Guy on Monday, January 15, 2001 - 3:12 am:

Consider your song copied to my singles board, I like it a lot!

By Click Dark on Monday, January 15, 2001 - 8:38 am:

I give it a 7. It's got a good rhythm, but you can't dance to it....

By Roadrunner on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 - 11:32 am:

Meep-Meep

By Rocket Ranger on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 - 2:40 pm:

BTW, I'm glad Rocket Ranger is listed at the Archives now, along with my real name (thanks, JD! :) ), but I have one request.....could you put Chief Gadgeteer\Pilot of the SnowCrane next to RR's name? He should be listed as unranked personnel, and he is, but I want him treated basically as the equivalent of a Chief Warrant Officer! (And I'm only using the name BladeWolf in *barf* NovaQuest *vomit* from now on)

By Coyote on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 - 12:42 pm:

*Yipes!* He then falls down a cliff at about 50mph
:(

By Padawan on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 11:14 am:

THE QUEUE IS KAAAAAAAAAAM!

By Padawan aka Sokath on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 11:22 am:

OK, I'll explain. I was scratching my head over the post made by the Queueueueuueueueue on the LICC2 Discussion but it wasn't that which had the clue, it was KAM's post saying he posted on the first LICC board saying that people shouldn't object to someone derailing their plotline. I thought "Hey, didn't the Queue say that" but didn't make the connection. For Why I never left Ohio the lesser clue was KAM whining about the Queueue not being listed in the character list. What made me ralise this finally? KAM claims to ahve said Omnipotence was boring ont he first LICC board. THE QUEUE SAID THAT!!!!

By JD on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 4:15 pm:

Ooh, looks like KAM slipped a bit...and he resaid it with such feeling, too. >;-D

By Kira Sharp on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 4:20 pm:

I do not support your logic, sir. I've said Omnipotence is boring too and I'm not the Queue. ;-)

By Matthew Patterson (Mpatterson) on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 6:21 pm:

*I* know who The Queue is. If I remember correctly.

By ScottN on Thursday, January 18, 2001 - 6:54 pm:

Kira,

You might want to mention the fictional tv station, K-NIT TV-47 over on the archive site, maybe under the history page...

By The KAM, errr Queue on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 4:08 am:

Well, it took you long enough!

Ever since Kira implied that Chris Ashley was The Queue, I've been wondering when someone would get it right.

And no JD, I did not slip up. I was giving clues.

Padawan, you are wrong about the lesser clue. The lesser clue was "the problem with being The Answer Man is trying to live up to the name which puts the character into a near-omniscient state which is too close to omnipotent for my taste. ;-)"

I was not whining about The Queue being left off the character list, I was pointing out an oversight.

And yes Mpatterson should remember who I was since I sent him an email about it. (Of course Ccabe didn't remember either, oh well.)

Still, it's nice to know that not all of my characters are so predictable that everyone knows it was I who wrote them.

The Queue were just meant for a one-time gag, then Tacoman asked a question and, not wanting to be rude, I had to think up an answer & they grew from there. The drunk stuff was just my way of keeping them from being boringly omnipotent.

I think there is one more set of recurring characters (minor, maybe 3 or 4 appearances) that hasn't been revealed or guessed yet. The rest are all one-shots.

By Kira Sharp on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 8:44 am:

Very good Padawan! I commend your logic!

I'll have to talk to Chris. _He_ implied he was the Queue 18 months ago.

By Padawan on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 11:09 am:

One more set, you say? Hmm, I wonder who that could be.

So the Queue were not intended to be recurring either? Whem I said (on the other board) that Lance's Snooty Butler was not originally intended to be more than an extra I meant on Port Mike and I was just assuming. Was he meant to be a recurring character from the first "More work for me" post?

By Reddo on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 11:16 am:

Me and Paddy have put our heads together and think the Bad Singers are a guy called 'Jack Morgan'

By Alpaca Man on Friday, January 19, 2001 - 1:03 pm:

Oh yeah, he used to post around here, didn't he?

By KAM on Sunday, January 21, 2001 - 12:23 am:

Lance's Snooty Butler was intended to be a recurring Port Mike character.

Wasn't Jack Morgan a pseudnym for JD?

By The Red Guy on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 - 11:09 am:

Meep-Mepp (I've been all the doing all the roadrunner posts)

By Padawan on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 - 11:36 am:

I thought so. Were you also Coyote and Guy from ACME?

By The Red Guy on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 - 4:10 am:

Yup

By Padawan on Friday, January 26, 2001 - 3:10 pm:

On Poor Richard I was:
Poor Richard, Admiral Windbag, Quirinius and Acronn Squarr. Red guy was practically everyone else!

KAM, in your ultimate power as a moderator, I summon you to smite both Poor Richard boards of the face of the board! No-one's been posting there and it was a bad idea to start with. Disappear! Disappear! Disappear!

By KAM on Saturday, January 27, 2001 - 7:41 pm:

I don't seem to see a 'please' there, Padawan.

By JD on Saturday, January 27, 2001 - 9:06 pm:

Pushy pushy Padawan.

:)

By The Names Red Guy, the red guy on Sunday, January 28, 2001 - 2:46 am:

Hmm, good song that, Pushy, Pushy Padawan

By Pushy Padawan on Sunday, January 28, 2001 - 4:04 am:

Please.

By The Red Guy on Sunday, January 28, 2001 - 2:54 pm:

Hey I wondered where this board went, but now I've found it. Nothing to report, Over

By Padawan on Sunday, January 28, 2001 - 3:03 pm:

Interesting, it seems KAM has been fixing up the Red Guy's spelling. I distinctly remember both instances of the word "Pushy" said by him to be lacking an "h".

By The Moderator on Monday, January 29, 2001 - 12:34 am:

I thought someone might misinterpret what he was calling you. Without the 'h' it looked too similar to a synonym for cat, which can also be used as a slang term for a portion of female anatomy.

By Padawan on Monday, January 29, 2001 - 9:24 am:

I thought that was it, Kambo.

By Reddsy Guy on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 - 2:20 am:

Kambo? Paddy, Reddo, how many nicknames are there here?

By Padawan on Thursday, February 01, 2001 - 2:45 pm:

OK, a few more confessions. On LICC I was the plot twist which brought them to the cartoon universe, as well as Duck Dodgers, Marvin, Yosemite Sam and the Animated Redshirt. I was also the Censor and other outside-the-story one-shots.

On the declining days of Port Mike I have been Frank Konspirasky, Unauthorized Information Gatherer, The President, Navvies, and of course, Xavier.

By Rusty Shears on Monday, February 05, 2001 - 2:54 am:

Gee, what a fun board I've stumbled across here. What's this fascination you people all seem to have with using aliases, huh? You'll never see ME do that.

By Domingo Chavez on Monday, February 05, 2001 - 3:53 am:

Me neither.

By The Red Guy on Monday, February 05, 2001 - 2:08 pm:

At the new menace I was Rainbow Apprentice, The Boring Bla Man and Sprinkle Boy.

By BladeWolf\BF on Wednesday, February 07, 2001 - 12:05 am:

Jake asked me if I was the new Velvetta character over in LICC (I'm not; Matt Pesti is Velvetta), so to clear up any confusion, I'm posting a list of the characters I have posted as (this doesn't include non-character aliases), in no particular order:

LICC:

Heroes:

1. Lord of the Hamburgers
2. Bigg M.A.K.K.
3. Blotzus
4. Sgt. Milos Fortesky, Earth cop
5. Onion Ringster
6. Female Redshirt (who wasn't so indestuctible after all :))
7. Rocket Ranger\Quincy K. Rocket

LICC\small:

1-2. The first and second Smurfs of Power

Villains:

1. King Rominaius, leader of the Whyte Kastles
2. Darth Tantrum (won't be back for awhile)
3. The Silver Maiden (shared character, but my creation; Josh posted as her, I think, but only Jason (Adon) is authorized by me to do so)
4. Whyte Kastle Captain Miller (forgot to mention his first name....Barney)

I'm also Rappin' Papa Smurf and Paranoid Conspiracy Theorist, and I posted as Elminster (not realizing Webber would use it to his advantage).

NovaQuest\The Knights of Silvercliff (that's the new name...TKOS for short...thank Padawan for it):

1. Dhalric Blacksilver
2. Baron Shanlir
3. The Staggering Monk

That's it. I'm going to be introducing a new (sort of) character in LICC sometime soon, and I plan on posting at Port Mike, if it ever starts up again!

By Jenny Observer on Wednesday, February 07, 2001 - 12:30 pm:

I think that khistra from TKOS is KAM.

By The member of the Lone Gunmen you havent met yet on Wednesday, February 07, 2001 - 9:37 pm:

Hmmmm.....You think KAM is Khistra? Very interesting. Someone in Nitcentral Singles 2 thinks Jake Dominguez is Bad Singers. If you or `Anonymous' are right, I DARE KAM or JD to confess!

(And if Khistra's writer reads this, could you tone it down please? Its sword & sorcery, not `Dear Penthouse'! I was thinking about posting at TKOS until you came along!)

By BF on Thursday, February 08, 2001 - 2:15 am:

Ummmm.....I agree with Lone Gunman; if one (or both) of them has had their true identity guessed, they should confess. (We won't hurt ya...much. :) )

Personally, I agree with one of those guesses, but I won't say which one; let them sweat a little. :)

By Khistra, Caractacus and others on Thursday, February 08, 2001 - 3:57 am:

No, Jenny, I am not KAM.

As for the description of Khistra I was doing it mostly for amusement and some lightheartedness, but if no one else shares that humor then I will tone it down. I guess it was a bit much, wasn't it? However, the excessive violence will remain, and even get worse! Mwhahahahaha!!! Ok! Ok! I'm kidding again. Have mercy, ok? I'll be good.

Lone Gunmen, go ahead and post on TKOS. Don't let my contributions to the story keep you from doing so.

By Padawan on Thursday, February 08, 2001 - 2:40 pm:

OK, since no-one's going to guess my New Menace roles, I'll just leave them here:

A, A bragging dog, A day on cardassia Prime, A rather obvious pyramid scheme, Alpha-Omega, Angry guy from the Harry Enfield show, Annoying talking firecracker, Avergae (sic) native American speaking his mind, C, Colonel Klink, God, Goode Kinge Wenceslasse, Homer, IC, Igor, J.C. Nitpicker, Jabberwocky, Jock, Kenneth and whatsisface, Lawyers' guild, Mr Spelling, Mumble, grumble, razzenfrazzen, Smuggler, T, The Diel, The Jury, The Knights of the Round Table and The Usher

On LICC2 I was MiTaQ and the allied forces, as well as the Great Emancipator, and I was also a few random non-story extras: Mitch, ThE aNsWeReR, OrDeR and Questioner, I think. And on TKOS I was the background music as well as my main role of Sir Bowen.

I think that's everyone, except for some roles I have on some boards which I intend to reuse and would rather not identify yet.

By Anonymous on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 11:45 pm:

I've got another confession to make....I was `The Member of the Lone Gunmen you haven't met yet', Caractacus! I never really intended to post in TKOS; I just did that to get you to tone things down, because you were spoiling my enjoyment of it! And I DON'T read Penthouse! That was the only example I could think of at the time. (Yes, I'm `Anonymous' from the Nitcentral Singles 2 board. No, I'm no going to say who I am! I will say this, however...I post on another Nitcentral board under my real name.)

By Caractacus on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 12:15 am:

That's ok, Anon. I said that I'll tone down the sex and violence in my contributions so I will. It'll be really difficult but I can do it.

By BF on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 12:49 am:

No idea who Anonymous is, but...I DO know who the Shadow is. Can't tell, though....sworn to secrecy. I've got a confession of my own to make.... I'm Anon E. Mous! I'm admitting this because I'm planning on retiring the name....and bringing back Paranoid Conspiracy Theorist!

By SLUGBUG on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 1:38 am:

I have a confession to make, I DO NOT CARE who these various posters are. One fake name is the same as the next. THe ONLY person who posts on these boards regularly who has a face and name we all have seen , is WTW. Everyone else is anonymous, regardless of any "usual" name.

By Anonymous on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 1:45 am:

I have a confession.....SLUGBUG can BITE ME!!! :)

By Padawan on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 11:22 am:

SLUGBUG, these aren't "fake names", these are characters who we play. You've got bitter, haven't you, SLUGBUG? You should know about NitCentral's RPGs - if what you have said in the past is true.

By Anonymous on Monday, February 19, 2001 - 2:08 pm:

What came first? The Kitchen . . .or the sink?

By Roadrunner on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 - 12:28 pm:

Meep-Meep! (Roadrunnner has just just told the answer to the Original question)

By Padawan on Thursday, February 22, 2001 - 2:56 pm:

OK, KAM, I'm betting you're the one who goes around posting as the Frank Conspiracy. If so, then can others post using that name as well (NOTE: The Frank Conspiracy, if you're reading this and don't want your identity revealed, you can just reply as The Frank Conspiracy")

KAM, I have a feeling you're Trin Tragula. I have no idea where the name or character comes from, though.

I wonder who "31337 h1x04" (or something like that) was. I think it was someone who doesn't post all that often. And if KAM hasn't confessed to being "Bunch of Redshirts holding coffee", I would think that was also 31337.

By Padawan on Sunday, February 25, 2001 - 10:55 am:

Re: Obsy. First of all, it's clear JD knows him. Professor Negative first appeared in a Commander Milkshake post, then shortly after Prof Negative made his first post on his own, and at the end was "(Thanks, Jake)". This was shortly after The Observer first appeared, so it seems like JD had been showing him LICC for a long time, and Obsy finally wanted a character to play, and JD also gave him Professor Negative (as he said he did once on the Confessions board).

Also, the "confessed to playing a character one one of these boards" could mean anything, "from a certain point of view". It all depends on how you define "character" and "one of these boards". It could mean on the Discussion board, or evn outside the LICC realm. Once Matthew Patterson exposed Murray Leeder as "For Your Information" on Phantom Returns. Obsy could easily have been a Phantom Return one-shot. (Of course, I'm not saying I think he is Murray Leeder, I just mean it might be a similar situation)

By Anonymous 1 on Sunday, February 25, 2001 - 3:49 pm:

Hmm, I'll get attention if I say I'm Obsy...

Still guessing, eh Padawan?

By Caracatus on Monday, February 26, 2001 - 12:41 am:

I'm still waiting for someone to guess who I am. Not that anyone ever will but it will still be fun to see people try.

By KAM on Monday, February 26, 2001 - 1:48 am:

Bob Jones.

(If that turns out to be correct I'll be so amazed.)

Yes, Padawan, I am The Frank Conspiracy (well, all except for 2 posts, one on LICC2 & 1 on the Insurrection/Generations Similarities board).

I am not Trin Tragula. The name sounds like it comes from the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, though.

I believe I was the Bunch of Redshirts holding coffee. (Saying Dude in different ways then being killed by Mountain Dew, right?)

By Bob Jones on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 - 3:27 am:

Congratulations, KAM! You are correct, sir! NOT!!! Mwahahahaha!!!

Keep trying.

By Padawan on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 - 11:05 am:

I believe I was the Bunch of Redshirts holding coffee. (Saying Dude in different ways then being killed by Mountain Dew, right?)

Yep.

Khistra, I have a few questions whih might help uncover your identity....

1) Are you male or female?
2) Do you use your full real name elsewhere? (ie, first and last name)
3) Do you post on many other boards, or just a few?

By Roman Roadrunner on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 - 2:09 pm:

Meepius, Meepius

By Caracatus, Khistra, many others and many more to come...barring dying some unforseen death, of course. on Wednesday, February 28, 2001 - 3:39 am:

Well, ya see, Padawan, that's the beauty of keeping everybody guessing, although I have been dropping ever-so-subtle clues here and there. I know someone will guess it sooner or later, at which time I'll admit my identity...or...NOT!!! (Gosh, I just so-o-o love this! hee! hee!)

By The Observer on Wednesday, February 28, 2001 - 9:39 am:

Ah, you too are experiencing the ecstatic joy anonymity can bring, eh Khistra?

By Caracatus/Khistra, et. al. on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 3:41 am:

Yes, I am, Observer. Could someone please tell me what "LICC" stands for, anyway?

And, oh BTW, Padawan, you're assuming that I want my identity discovered, or am willing to let it be discovered. Which it won't until or unless I so desire it. I'm not saying I won't let it be discovered, but I'm not saying that I will let it be, either. I'm of two minds on this, not to mention besides myself (so I won't mention it). And on another note, Padawan, why don't you tell us who you are. Reveal your identity and maybe I'll do likewise. You show me yours and I'll show you mine.

By KAM on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 3:56 am:

League of Intergalactic Cosmic Champions.

Also Legion of Intergalactic Cosmic Champions, but they were just guest stars. ;-)

It started in the Star Wars sink & the current adventures are still going on there. The early adventures can be found at http://www.geocities.com/TheLICC/

As for guessing who you are...
Caracatus' author isn't travelling at warp!

By KAM on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 3:59 am:

Then again there is only a minute seperating your post here from the post of the guy I thought you might be. Hmmmm...

By Padawan on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 11:19 am:

Padawan is the name I use at Nitcentral all the time, so my real name is irrelevant. However, at TKOS I am Sir Bowen, and I also call myself Loremaster.

By BF on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 1:08 pm:

We know what Padawan's real name is: we just don't call him by it!

By Padawan on Thursday, March 01, 2001 - 1:33 pm:

Exactly. It means nothing, same as the fact that BF stands for Brian Floyd means nothing. He is known as BF, that is who he is. However, Caractacus' real name will bring meaning to some, or s/he wouldn't be hiding it like that!

By Caractacus on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 3:44 am:

Hey, guys, lighten up, ok? It's all in good, clean fun. Take my name, Caractacus, for example. Hasn't anybody guessed where I got it from yet, or did you all assume that I made it up?

Padawan, I never thought of my real name having any meaning to anyone were they to know it. I'm not afraid to make it known. I just think it's fun being anonymous at this time. I'll probably reveal myself sometime, anyway. In fact, I'm sure of it. If I answered your three questions above then would end it sooner than I'd want.

KAM, who do you think I am or was, and what was that travelling at warp comment all about? And I don't know what you meant about a minute separating two of my posts. I usually only post once at a time. Or did you get confused with the ones from Feb 28 at 4:39am and March 1 at 4:41am?

By Lea Frost on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 5:49 am:

I'm guessing you take your name from the first-century British king (also known as Caradoc) who fought against the Romans. He was the son of Cymbeline, the subject of a play by Shakespeare.

As a side note, one of the skills of which Major-General Stanley boasts in The Pirates of Penzance is his ability to "tell you every detail of Caractacus's uniform." :-)

By ScottN on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 9:31 am:

To Caractacus:

You got it from (the non-disneyfied original version of) Ian Fleming's "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang".

I read the original when I was 6. Much better than the Disney junk.

By Padawan on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 12:51 pm:

Lea - were you Major-General Stanley on the TKOS Discussion board...?

By Caractacus on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 1:55 am:

Yes! That's right, Scott. Kudos to you! I was wondering why no one picked up on that yet, or if they had but just never said anything about it.

By Padawan on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 3:37 am:

My name - Sir Bowen - comes from the film Dragonheart. Bowen was the name of the Dragonslayer (I think KAM realised this, given one of his titles).

BTW, you may be interested to know that it is thanks to The Red Guy that we have the name Ansh (a member of LICC). Once on Microsoft 3D Movie Maker he made a film called "A New (Not So) Hope". I realised this abbreviated to ANNSH and used that as a "stock name" to be used if I needed one. Then when Jenny wanted to play a character on LICC, I gave her the anme, and she changed the spelling slightly - to Ansh. The Tembar is a reference to the NextGen episode Darmok, where one of the phraces was "Temba, his arms wide!"

By Padawan supplemental on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 3:42 am:

Oh, and Caractacus - KAM thinks you are Spornan, a regular poster on the Voyager board. He keeps on complaining about Voyager not travelling at warp.

By Caractacus on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 4:03 am:

Thanks, Padawan, but he's wrong again. Keep trying, KAM!

By Padawan on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 4:09 am:

Well... you must be someone who posts around the same time as I do... so you may well be in the same time-zone. I wonder... what time is it for you?

By BF on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 4:10 am:

I have never seen Dragonheart, believe it or not! Is Bowen the character Dennis Quaid plays?

BladeWolf is easy to explain: I have a British Commando dagger, and I like wolves. But, in tribute to my favorite comic, Knights of the Dinner Table, I'm considering changing my nom de plume (sp?) to...Hackmaster!!!

By Padawan on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 4:24 am:

BF - I don't know the name of the person who plays him.

Hmmm, I had noticed before how BF is also around a lot at the same time as me, before most of the other people are awake. Of course, I'm sure Caractacus isn't BF. Maybe it would be good to see when people have been posting...?

By Caractacus on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 4:52 am:

Hmm. Now you're thinking, Padawan. There's one way of narrowing down who your choices for everyone's secret identities could be. But you can't necessarily depend on the times that we post because that's East Coast time, regardless of where you live in the states. And no, I'm not BF. Curious initials, those. We could have some fun with them but then those posts would be deleted, wouldn't they? lol

By Padawan Observer on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 5:12 am:

Well, you can use initials to prove things that aren't even remotely true... I know it's a favourite saying of mine but I often run into bizarre initials-coincidences, I was once involved in one, but I'd rather not speak of it. And my initials, real or NitCentral, are irrelevant to it.

By Caractacus on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 5:34 am:

PO? Well, we could have some fun with those, too. Ok, maybe just a little is all.

By KAM on Sunday, March 04, 2001 - 1:32 am:

Paddy's right CK (I'm gonna call you that for short after your two characters). I did think you might have been Spornan.
I use the last day view here & there were 2 new messages; 1 by Spornan in Voyager & 1 by you. However, after posting the warp comment, I looked at the times & realized you would have had to post here, then go to the other board, write & post a message in less than a minute. Not necesarily impossible, but highly unlikely.

The only other person I thought you might be was MarkN, but I believe you said you had a wife. So other than tossing out random names like Bob Jones, my guessing is over.
Frank Franklin, Richard Smith, Johnny Veitch! :)

Padawan - Bowen was the name of the Dragonslayer (I think KAM realised this, given one of his titles).
Ummmmmm, what title? And no, I don't remember any names from Dragonslayer.

you can use initials to prove things that aren't even remotely true
Sounds like a line that might pop up in a radio mystery. ;-)

BF, I think you are confusing 2 movies:
1. Dragonslayer, which came out in, I think, the early 80's. About a kid who tries to slay a really nasty dragon. (Good film.);
2. Dragonheart, which I think was the mid 90's. About a guy & dragon con artist team. (Didn't see.)

Looks about time for a new board.

By Padawan on Sunday, March 04, 2001 - 6:16 am:

It was actually Noman who had a wife, leading me to believe he was ScottN.

I think MarkN is probably Caractacus, too.

By KAM on Sunday, March 04, 2001 - 6:36 am:

Didn't CK say he had a wife who liked him to spend time with her on the weekends?

By Padawan on Sunday, March 04, 2001 - 7:22 am:

OK, KAM, Bowen was the name of the con artist who used to be a dragon-slayer. When you suggested "Bowen, the Dragon Slayer" as a name for TKOS, I thought you must have realised where I got the name.

BTW, when I first saw the name Brrtnrrnii, I thought "Oh, dear" (I thought he got the name from SHE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED, but he names his daughter after her, though...) I didn't think of it as Bert and Ernie, but now I know that's where it comes form I find it a lot easier to spell!

By KAM on Monday, March 05, 2001 - 4:15 am:

I had forgotten some of those titles. Took me a few minutes, but I finally remembered the inspiration for it. Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. Bowen has a B name & a Dragon was more appropriate than a Vampire.

By Caractacus on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 1:27 am:

Who's MarkN, and why did you think he's me?

And no, I'm not married. Not yet, at least. Why? Do you know anyone? :)

Hey! Look at that! I made a smiley!

By KAM on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 2:55 am:

He's another poster.

He usually posts in the early morning & I thought you were posting at around the same time.

Must have got you confused with a married poster then.

I don't even know your name & you want me to set you up with someone???
"He seems like a nice guy. At least I think he's a guy. Don't know what he looks like or does for a living, but he makes nice smilies."
:)

By BF on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 3:04 am:

I'll tell ya....frankly I don't want to know who Caractacus\Khistra is, or whether they're a male or female. I like this air of mystery. Observer, however, is another matter entirely. (JD apparently knows, but he ain't talking. Although, I suspect Observer's real name is posted in the Archives....where, I'll never say, so don't ask)

By KAM on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 4:01 am:

The Observer is Sarah Perkins???

;-)

That's the one name at the LICC Archives that I can't place to any character.

By JD on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 1:05 pm:

I think Sarah Perkins is Changearoo...

By Padawan on Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - 1:44 pm:

Probably... and btw, there's a new one of these.

KAM, interesting guess, I guessed the same once at PestiChat. Hmmm...

By KAM on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 4:14 am:

Ah ha! JD isn't denying it! And he isn't making fun of The Observer by calling him Sarah!

Well, that's all the lack of proof I need.

:)

By BF on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 4:38 am:

Maybe KAM is Observer!!!

Nah....Obsy's not screwy enough! (That's a compliment, by the way, KAM)

My actual theory is that Obsy and JD knew each other before nitcentral and one introduced the other to it. But, I could be completely wrong about that, and most likely am (I'm a crappy internet detective). No other way to explain how JD knows, since Obsy will most likely never reveal his(?) true identity.

By BF on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 4:41 am:

I just thought of something....if hell ever freezes over and LICC becomes a major franchise with financial gains for the posters....both Obsy and Furby will have to come forward, if they want to get paid!....Incidentally, I considered going the `mysterious poster' route, but decided not to.

Quick! Someone get me a business manager and a lawyer! We's gonna go big time! ;)

By KAM, 99 & 44/100% Screwy on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 5:10 am:

I'm trying to figure out how that's a compliment. Hmmm....

I believe they admitted that on one of the early confession boards.

Of course, if LICC does go big time the company that owns the rights to Furby will probably raise a stink over the Furby name. (Unless you know who owns the company?)

By Padawan on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 12:07 pm:

I'm pretty sure JD introduced LICC to Obsy, as you can see me speculate above.

When I said there was another one of these I meant there's a new board to take this to. This is getting full...
