010207 - The TKOS Discussion Board

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: L.I.C.C.: The Knights of Silvercliff: 010207 - The TKOS Discussion Board
By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Thursday, February 08, 2001 - 1:22 am:

Here's the board for discussing The Knights of Silvercliff & I've created a second board for that story & closed the first one.

By Loremaster on Thursday, February 08, 2001 - 2:24 pm:

I find Khistra/Caractacus rather amusing. (READ: Hilarious)

By Caractacus on Friday, February 09, 2001 - 3:40 am:

Thank you, Loremaster. I'm glad someone appreciates me. I hope that more people will see the underlying tones of my contributions, like spoofing those detestable, hormonally-driven, male-written sword and sorcery books (Gor and Conan come to mind), as evidenced by my description of Khistra. But, like the saying goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet!"

I also hope no one minds that some of mine are longer than the others. It's not to monopolize the story, but just to try to help add more depth to it. Besides, it's fun. I only ask that no one gives my characters dialog or action without my permission so as to not have them go in a direction totally different from what I might want to have happen with them, and I'll do the same.

By BladeWolf on Friday, February 09, 2001 - 8:50 am:

No prob, but tone down the..uh....you know.

By BladeWolf on Friday, February 09, 2001 - 9:08 am:

And I get what you're saying. I've never read any of the Gor books, but I have read about three of the Conan ones (Red Nails and a couple of others). Fantasy-wise, I'm more into the `Amber' series by Zelazny, and the `Books of Swords' series by Saberhagen. BUT I have read just about all of the Sword & Sorceress books (For those of you who don't know, the Sword & Sorceress books are collections of short stories by different authors. Most, but not all, of the authors are women and the main characters are women (Tarma and Kethry from Mercedes Lackey's books first appeared in these books). Not sure what the current book is, but there have been at least ten or twelve so far!

By Loremaster on Friday, February 09, 2001 - 11:23 am:

BTW, the question of Khistra's identity should be discussed here or on Roll Call 2, not on the TKOS board.

By Caractacus on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 2:31 am:

Um, Padawan, you've just contradicted yourself there. Silly girl. Or guy.

BladeWolf, have you seen my latest contribution to the story on The Knights Of Silvercliff, Chapter II? You check it out, too, Padawan. I think you'll like it.

I've read the first several of Marion Zimmer Bradley's S&S anthologies, like up to about 6 or 7 and I have 8 or 9 and 10. I'm missing of them. I really miss Marion, too. She was a pretty good author. Now that I think about it, Khistra sounds like a name you'd see in an MZB book, doesn't it?

I've also read the first 2 parts of Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow and Thorn books, and I need to read the third one, which surprisingly is a 2-parter! Anyway, it'll be awhile before I do.

By BladeWolf on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 2:41 am:

Uh, No Caractacus, Padawan did not contradict himself! He meant the actual TKOS story board, not this one!

I'm guessing that you're not one of the people posting at LICC?

I can't stand Tad Williams. His books are too long for my taste. I need to catch up on Piers Anthony's Xanth books....I'm about four or five behind!

I'm also frustrated! I've been trying to find a copy of a book called `The Worm Ouroborous' by E.R. Eddison, which is supposed to be a classic, but none of the libraries or used bookstores here seem to have it!

By BladeWolf on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 2:45 am:

And Loorol and Haardi?! Re-read the rules over in Brave Tales, Caracatus! This is, for the most part, a serious board. I don't want it degenerating into being as silly as LICC. I like LICC being silly, but this is more of a D&D\Record of Lodoss War type-board. Or, if you must, think Tolkien.

Time to think about unleashing some more thunderbolts, ain't it? :)

By BladeWolf on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 2:50 am:

*sigh* Maybe I should give up, let TKOS go silly, and just start that Hard-Boiled Detective board I was thinking about doing.....

By Caractacus on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 4:17 am:

Uh, No Caractacus, Padawan did not contradict himself! He meant the actual TKOS story board, not this one!
Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure, and thanks for letting me know it's a male. I sort of thought he was a she. Sorry, Padawan.

I'm guessing that you're not one of the people posting at LICC?
That's right. Should I be? I've read some of the posts there, though.

As for Loorol and Haardi, I was just trying to inject some humor into the story, though I didn't mean to at first. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. I can get rid of them pretty quickly, like have them go off again on their own, never to be seen again. I figured the story was originally meant to be more serious, though I'll still inject some humor now and then. BTW, you don't want it to be like Penthouse letters (and what's that Lone Gunmen person doing reading those gawdawful phony stories anyway?), which is fine (I'll be somewhat suggestive sometimes, though, but not too much), but how do you feel about violence? It's not necessary to be overly descriptive, sure, but do you mind or what? In our screwed-up society we have this prudish attitude towards sex but excessive violence is ok, so I was wondering what your feelings are towards violence. I like to be a little more descriptive about an action, like a beheading, than just say, "So-and-so chopped off So-and-so's head off". That's too boring, I think. However, I can tone down the violence, too, or at least convey great violence in not-so-great verbiage. It's up to you. As Seven of Nine would say, "I will comply." After all, we're just trying to make as good and enjoyable a story as possible, correct? Well, I'm game.

By BladeWolf on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 1:26 pm:

Violence is fine, but don't be overly descriptive (no need to describe the gory details, such as `his intestines hang from his mangled and mutilated belly' or things like that. Go read the posts where I introduced Dhalric, and where we fought the Iron Reapers, for example).

By The Moderator on Saturday, February 10, 2001 - 10:50 pm:

Caractacus, you can post humorous Sword & Sorcery stuff on the Dungeon, Dragon, Demon, Damsel &
Smith (Humor At Large)
board.

As for the violence, remember that young people do post at NitCentral, so try to avoid gory & gruesome details that would upset parents.

By BladeWolf on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 12:03 am:

AND anything overtly sexual! Right, Moderator? And, I don't know about the others, but Dhalric has a romantic interest that hasn't been introduced yet.

By The Moderator on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 1:59 am:

Right.

Keep the sexual content as restrained as Hamburger Pattie.

Ummmm..., on second thought..., hold yourself to a higher standard.

By BladeWolf on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 2:17 am:

Caractacus has already said they're not involved with LICC, so they probably don't know who Hamburger Pattie is!

By Loremaster on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 5:06 am:

Caractacus... are you Machiko? You seem to have similar comments on conventional "morals" and you obviously aren't a regular around here, but know me vaguely.

Jenny thinks you're BladeWolf having fun with all of us (I thought that too before, but now I'm sure you're not.)

By BladeWolf on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 1:37 pm:

No way in H*ll am I Caractacus! And who is Machiko, by the way?

By Loremaster on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 2:06 pm:

Someone from Religious Musings.

By Caractacus on Sunday, February 11, 2001 - 11:56 pm:

Nope, Loremaster. Wrong again on both counts, but you and Jenny keep trying. BTW, how did you like Lorrol and Haardi? I actually meant to tell you, not Padawan, to check it out above, since you've said you my stories hilarious. And how do I know you vaguely? The first time I've seen you was on these RPG boards.

Ok, Moderator, I'll keep the violence and sex down. It'll be tough, but I think I can manage. Must...keep violence...and sex...down...Must keep...violence and sex......down...

Bladewolf, if you're still gonna do your Hard-Boiled Detective board then how about this name that I came up with for my own guy: Lance A. Boyle. Pretty good, huh?

By BladeWolf on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 12:42 am:

Oh, God! Caractacus is William Shatner! Sing us a Priceline.com song! :)

Seriously, though....at least answer this.... do either Padawan or I know you a board besides this one? Nitcentral Adventures, I mean.

(And its BladeWolf...with a capital `W' on Wolf!)

Lance A. Boyle? *groan* I was considering Dick Holmes....

By BF on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 1:00 am:

Actually, I decided to scrap the Hard-Boiled-Detective board, in favor of a old radio program-style mysterious masked crimefighter type board, ala the Green Hornet (or the Shadow). Basically, I figure it works like this....each person creates an old radio show style hero. We then alternate adventures, with one of us posting as the hero, and another person as the hero's sidekick. The rest of the posters take on the roles of supporting characters and the villains. When the story's done, the people who posted the hero and the sidekick post as supporting characters and others take over as the hero and sidekick. What do you think?
If we do this, I want KAM involved, since he said he likes old radio shows, and JD, too.

Note: If someone reads this and decides to create the board (that's what happened with TKOS), name it something like `Daring Adventures' or `Mysterious Detectives'!

By Major-General Stanley on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 1:02 am:

Caractacus? I know every detail in your uniform!

By The Observer on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 7:37 pm:

So are we going to get anything done in TKOS? Dhalric and the crew are standing around letting the moss grow on them! Whoever started the storyline, write!

By BladeWolf on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 7:51 pm:

Sir Bowen's author, aka Pushy P, is supposed to be writing this part!! Argle Bargle was his idea, so he gets to run with it!

By Caractacus on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 3:41 am:

Me? William Shatner? As if. What I was doing was a parody of the overdramatics that are seen in comics, like the good guy stretching his/her arm out in hopes of grabbing someone or something in time. I didn't even think about it sounding like a bad Shatner impression.

So are we going to get anything done in TKOS? Dhalric and the crew are standing around letting the moss grow on them! Whoever started the storyline, write!
No kidding! That's why I took a brief break so that others can have a stab at it, pun more or less intended, since the story does involve sword-wielding characters. C'mon, people. I don't want to be the only one writing parts of the story. Not that I mind, on the one hand, but still...

Seriously, though....at least answer this.... do either Padawan or I know you a board besides this one? Nitcentral Adventures, I mean.
Not on Nitcentral Adventures, no. Elsewhere? Well...maybe...

By Caladrons Author on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 11:22 am:

I agree guys, someone else write for awhile!! I just jumped in long enough to establish myself. I don't have anything planned for the Academy or anything, so if anyone wants to take over, feel free. Also, I was just using Khardek as a useful tool to get us from place to place... If any of you guys want to use him/kill him/kidnap him, whatever, feel free...

By Nomans Author on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 - 9:30 am:

Actually, the Academy sounds like something Noman should investigate. I'll get to it tomorrow (I'm at work and don't have time to be creative, and tonight is, of course, Valentine's day, as well as my wife's birthday).

By Loremaster on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 - 2:08 pm:

Argle Bargle was never my idea. I just decided we go there first.

And, Caractacus... you seem a little confused. You first call me Padawan, then act like Padawan and I are seperate people. We are one and the same.

By BladeWolf on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 - 3:17 pm:

Okay, Loremaster, does that mean you don't want to write Argle Bargle? Noman, feel free to go ahead, but we have to end up in Silvercliff after we leave Argle Bargle!

By Caracatus on Thursday, February 15, 2001 - 5:21 am:

Yes, Loremaster, perhaps I am confused. I didn't know you and Padawan were separate beings, or are you just joshing me?

By Loremaster on Thursday, February 15, 2001 - 11:08 am:

Padawan and me are the same person!!!!

By Loremaster on Thursday, February 15, 2001 - 11:49 am:

Noman, you are Scott "Evil" N, aren't you?

Caractacus, elsewhere you say? Elsewhere at NitCentral or elsewhere elsewhere? Or.... BOTH? (pinky to mouth)

By BladeWolf on Thursday, February 15, 2001 - 12:11 pm:

Padawan = Loremaster
BladeWolf = BF

Get it, Caractacus?

By Caractacus on Friday, February 16, 2001 - 3:14 am:

No, BladeWolf, I'm sorry but I don't. Could you please explain it to me again and again? lol

By BladeWolf on Friday, February 16, 2001 - 3:24 am:

Very funny! Padawan uses the name Loremaster when he posts in TKOS (and this discussion board), and Padawan on the other boards. I use BladeWolf here and in TKOS, but BF (my initials) elsewhere.

And don't you think its screwy that we post here more than we do in the actual story? It's been a week, for God's sake!

By Caractacus on Saturday, February 17, 2001 - 2:07 am:

I know! It looks like I'm gonna have to write some more of the story again. Not that I'm complaining, mind you...

By JP on Saturday, February 17, 2001 - 7:59 am:

Lorrol and Haardi, Brtnrrni? So, Caractacus, do you spend a lot of free time watching kids shows? :)

By Padawan on Saturday, February 17, 2001 - 12:40 pm:

Who's JP?

By Loremaster, who should have called himself this for the last post on Sunday, February 18, 2001 - 4:24 am:

All right, don't blow up in my face about my Sir Bowen post! If anyone has any objections to his cat idea, they can either say it here or have a character say "I think not". I just wanted to bring in a culture which I might use later, and a possible god to show up, but I'm not saying this is definitely what the clue means. OK?

By BladeWolf on Sunday, February 18, 2001 - 5:07 am:

No problem, Loremaster. Just as long as we don't go around following cats for several days.....

Someone go find Matt....Cascerot hasn't spoken in a while!

By BladeWolf on Sunday, February 18, 2001 - 5:09 am:

I'm going to be injecting some `Cthulhu Mythos' references from time to time, by the way. Go read my latest post for an example. :)

(Now if we could just get someone to say `Hastur' three times....)

By Loremasters sister on Sunday, February 18, 2001 - 8:37 am:

mmmm, BF you know Pesti may,not that you would know about this sort of thing,be in possesion of what some people call...a "life".

By Caracatus on Sunday, February 18, 2001 - 3:09 pm:

Well, JP, whoever you are, it's good to see that you got the pronounciation right, if not the spelling, of Brrtnrrnii. No, I don't watch any kids shows...anymore. I just thought that it was a funny idea. Why? Do you watch a lot of kids shows? FYI Laurel and Hardy were never a kids show. They starred in several short and full-length comedy films that are still quite funny today. You may be confusing them with The Three Stooges, who after awhile did have their old movies and some new things shown on TV, for kids.

By JP on Monday, February 19, 2001 - 1:57 pm:

JP=Caladron's Author... :) Sorry!

Also, Caracatus, I KNOW who Laurel and Hardy are...and the kids show reference was directed at Bert and Ernie, not Laurel and Hardy...:) And when you have a seven year old running around your house, yes, you DO watch a lot of kids shows...

By Nomans Author on Monday, February 19, 2001 - 9:41 pm:

Sorry, I was out of town over the weekend.

By JP on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 - 10:34 am:

Hey guys, just wanted to subdue someone to show my talents... Anyway, whomever had the idea for the murder etc can take over now...

By About Crack the Bones.... on Thursday, February 22, 2001 - 2:06 am:

About the game `Crack the Bones' that Jastrus plays....which Dhalric mentioned....

Basically, its a die-elimination game, played between two players (can be played with more, but its too confusing with a lot of players). Each player has seven dice: five six-sided white, one 4-sided red, and one six-sided black. Both players roll their black dice at the same time, and they must roll that # or under. They roll their white dice, and remove any dice that roll over that #. If a player runs out of dice, he can choose to roll the red die, but MUST roll a one or a six, or lose TWICE his original bet. If he succeeds in rolling a one or a six, he doesn't lose the bet, only points. The bet, however, stays in the pot the next round, and betting continues. If both players run out of dice at the same time, the pot also stays until the next round; no red die roll is needed.
A game of `Crack the Bones' is usually made up of at least seven rounds. It MUST be played an odd number or rounds, no matter how it goes. If a round goes to an even # because of a continued pot, the players are required to play an `Honor' round, with nothing whatsoever at stake except for pride. These are traditions set forth by the creators of this most ancient game.

`Crack the Bones' is not considered gambling by most civilized societies, even though it is. However, no wager involving determining whether or not someone lives or dies or is enslaved or freed may be made. Anyone who violates this rule is subject to a horrible, incurable curse that leads to pain, madness, and a merciful death after years of suffering!

By Loremaster on Thursday, February 22, 2001 - 11:13 am:

Are the Brain Dead open roles or will Caractacus be handling them?

By BladeWolf on Thursday, February 22, 2001 - 3:18 pm:

Garris Onkiellor = Garrison Keillor, author of the Prairie Home Companion and News from Lake Woebegon. For those of you who have never heard of him (Padawan, for instance), its a semi-humorous radio show about a fictional Minnesota town. The radio show also has musical guests occasionally. The show is on public radio, and it is current, not an old radio program like the Shadow, Fibber McGhee and Molly, etc.

By KAM on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 3:22 am:

For supposedly having a no silly stuff rule there are an awful lot of puns floating around.

Has anyone used the line "to boldly go where Noman has gone before" yet?

Wolf, maybe I missed an explanation, but in mythology Gryphons hate & attack Horses, however, your gryphon seems not to do that.

By BladeWolf on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 8:45 am:

KAM, there's a reason Dhalric's Gryphon doesn't hate and attack horses, but I'm not quite ready to reveal that yet....

By Nomans Author on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 8:54 am:

Where do you think Noman's name came from?

Though it really came from Greek Mythology.

By Nomans Author on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 9:32 am:

Also, the usual Noman puns are about Time and Tide, and islands...

By BladeWolf on Friday, March 02, 2001 - 6:01 pm:

`No man is an island'? I figured it was either from that, or the Thunder Agents comic book....

By Loremaster on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 3:33 am:

Noman gave a wrong surname recently.

And BladeWolf, I know who Garrison Keilor is.

By Nomans Author on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 9:14 am:

Whoops! You're right, Loremaster. Noman exists in 2 versions (in my D&D game). In the campaign I played him in, he had the missing hand regenerated while he was researching the "Silver Hand" spell. However, when I placed him as an NPC into the campaign I used to run, I gave him the silver hand because it was much cooler. I got confused between the two when I posted.

Note:

Noman Gilinde Erchamion - Noman the onehanded starsinger. Lost his hand to a Morkoth. Later had it regenerated.

Noman Gilnde Celebrimbor - Noman the silverhanded starsinger. Lost his hand to a Morkott. Later had the "Silver Hand" spell applied.

By Nomans Author on Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 9:14 am:

However, before he had the silver hand applied, he was known as Erchamion.

By BladeWolf on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 5:03 am:

Okay...I want to say this, first:

I decided to let this go ahead and be a little humorous. Take-offs on names and puns are fine, but lets keep it at that. And when this `Heart of Power' quest gets closer to the end, I want things to become mostly serious, okay?

Now that I have that off my chest, a few questions (please be serious with your answers):

1. What is everyone's favorite color? (I need to know for something I'm planning in the future)

2. Caractacus\Khistra: What exactly is Khistra's character class? From recent events, I suspect she's either a druid\bard or ranger\bard, or maybe even a druid\bard\ranger (possible, thanks to 3rd edition D&D, by the way). Or do you want to keep that a secret for now?

3. Doubt if this'll get answered: Is Cascerot's author too busy to post, or has he given up on TKOS? (I'm betting Matt's too busy)

4. What happened to Robar?! One or two posts, and that was it!

5. Are there any authors posting who have {never} played D&D? Doesn't matter; I'm just curious.

6. Who let the dogs out? ( :) )

I've got one more question I want to ask Keeran's author, but I need to do that elsewhere....

By KAM on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 5:15 am:

1. Green

6. I'd have to rewatch Lady & the Tramp to find out.

TKOS II is 122K. You can create board III if you want.

By BladeWolf, now known as......HackMaster! on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 7:41 am:

Gotcha, KAM. The new board's up. Someone lock this puppy down so no one else can post (And I decided to make the new board TKOS II instead of III, since the first has a different title). I hate it when someone starts a new board, but people don't notice and still post on the old one!

By The Observer on Wednesday, March 07, 2001 - 6:17 pm:

1. Blue.

5. I have never played a paper-and-pencil RPG of any sort, but I have played and enjoyed several D&D derivative computer games.

By Caractacus\Khistra on Thursday, March 08, 2001 - 3:09 am:

BladeWolf

1. I don't really have one. Blue's nice but I'm flexible.

2. I'm not sure what Khistra's class is, but rest assured she's in a class by herself. :) Ok, so I couldn't resist, but I really haven't thought about it. For now I see her mostly as just someone of great beauty and intelligence, sharing a special telepathic bond with her tiger (which was meant to be revealed later but shh! don't tell anyone, ok?), and with many talents, such as playing her Bharhnee fife (so, yes, a bit of a bard there), and others to be revealed later when I can think of some. She's somewhat talented with certain weapons and is a very fast learner with new ones, too.

5. I've never played any D&D-type games at all. Never really interested in them, although I've wondered what some online types would be like.

6. I dunno, but the damned things are always pooping on my lawns!

By Caractacus\Khistra on Thursday, March 08, 2001 - 3:16 am:

BTW, just how long will it take to get to The Heart of Power's location, how will we know when we're getting closer to it, and how far from the town we left are we, roughly?

By KAM on Thursday, March 08, 2001 - 4:38 am:

Wolf, by TKOS I meant the RPG board, not the TKOS Discussion board.

This board is under 70k.

By Nomans author on Thursday, March 08, 2001 - 9:42 am:

1. Plaid (just kidding). Really, it's silver.

By Khistra on Friday, March 16, 2001 - 3:59 am:

The Buggles are actually a race of carnivorous midgets of human shape, not insectoid. I was listening to that song by the Buggles and got this swell idea to parody them here, as I was doing, until the interruption which spoiled it. I know you didn't mean to, or were aware that I was still posting parts of the story, so I'm not quite ready to strangle you yet but it would've been nice if you'd've waited to add to it, or like I said stuck with Dhalric's and Dunwyn's parts instead. After all, I do tend to post conversations between two or more people in the manner you see above.

By One who doesnt want to be named since I dont play a part here on Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 4:46 am:

Wince-To shrink or start involuntaryily, as in pain or distress; to flinch.

By One who doesnt want to be named since I dont play a part here again on Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 4:49 am:

I meant "involuntarily". Typo.

By Melissa on Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 11:33 am:

KAM delete that post, Melissa WINCED not WINKED, and remember Melissa secretly loathes Kistra (THAT'S MEANT TO BE LOATHES, KHISTRA!)Oh and Khistra, Melissa is Sixteen but I'm only eleven

By Melissa on Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 11:35 am:

You don't need to delete it, KAM, I know now that Khistra was thinking of someone else (Brrtnrni's daughter?)

By HackMaster on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 12:39 am:

Melissa's author is not only eleven years old, but she is also Padawan's younger sister!

And I am not a moderator, so I can't delete your post; ask KAM to do that!

By Khistra on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 2:45 am:

Ok, I wasn't sure if you or KAM were the moderator. Is Melissa's author the youngest person who's ever posted on any of these boards? If she is then I guess I'd better watch what I say. Wouldn't want to corrupt the poor girl. Well, not yet at least. haha

By Padawan on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 2:47 am:

Khistra, would it be possible to meet me in Pesti's chat room? Its address can be found in "Pestichat bookings" in the Kitchen Sink.

By Khistra on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 4:12 am:

Why? I'm not suspicious. Just curious.

By HackMaster on Friday, March 23, 2001 - 4:31 am:

Methinks Melissa's author has been taking spelling lessons from Brian Webber!

By Khistra on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 4:28 am:

Hmm, can't find it anywhere under The Kitchen Sink, and believe me I looked.

By Padawan on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 5:50 am:

I said Jedi's Sink! But at board time 11.30 will be another PestiChat meeting you can come to.

By HackMaster, traffic cop on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 6:06 am:

Go to the Star Wars board, and scroll down to the Jedi's Sink (Radio Dramas is the only thing below it). Click on that, then scroll down to Pestichat Bookings. The link to the chatroom is near the top of that particular board!

By Khistra on Monday, March 26, 2001 - 12:07 am:

No, you didn't, Paddy. You said the Kitchen Sink, not the Jedi one. That post was removed so I guess you didn't see it in time to realize your mistake.

By HackMaster on Monday, March 26, 2001 - 3:02 pm:

There is a discussion board for things like this.....USE IT!!!!

Oops! Ah, fudge! Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now, ain't it? Ok, I admit it. It was me all along. Good going to Padawan and anyone else who correctly guessed it was me. *sigh* That's what I get for being so damned careless.

But I'll still post under all of my various chars' names now and then.

By HackMaster on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 5:19 am:

MarkN was KC?!?!

Does the Dance of Joy, `cause he was one of my top two suspects.

By KC on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 3:35 pm:

Hah! Hah! Well, well, well, it looks like someone took the bait after all, and so quickly too! If even one person thinks I'm MarkN then my work is done. Since some people wanted to think I was I just gave them what they wanted, but in truth I am not MarkN, I do not know MarkN, I have never met MarkN, and from what I've read of some of his messages on other boards I'm not sure I'd really want to. But I swear I am not MarkN! You have all been fooled! Mwahahahahaha!!! Man, this is almost too much fun!

And now, if the moderator would please delete these last few messages and on that first one where I "accidently" used MarkN could he please change that name to Bic Penh Tamytrr instead? That way everything will be back to normal here, unless he wants to see how many others take the bait for even more hilarious fun. Thank you.

You know, KC, that wasn't a very good trick. You took it a bit too far with that "admitting" that you're MarkN, then taking it back. People fell for it because they had no choice, they trusted you that you were telling them the truth. The whole thing was quite juvenile. Of course, you might have really slipped up and then decided to pretend it was a trick to cover up, but in the words of the Ignorer, "I don't really care." Now, where were we?

Sorry, but that ain't gonna work, MarkN! No big deal; I originally considered posting anonymously a bit longer before I revealed my identity; I just got tired of using the names GundamWolf and BladeWolf! Besides, everytime I see "KC", I keep thinking of KC and the Sunshine Band!

By KC and the Sunshine Band on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 8:28 pm:

That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh, I like it, uh-huh uh-huh.

By MarkN on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 11:17 pm:

bows head in mock shame, wipes away a nonexistant tear...

Well, I intended to reveal myself sooner or later anyway, but at my own choosing. I really did accidently use my own name instead of Bic's and of course didn't realize it till right after I'd posted that message. I sort of expected the first one to say anything would be Padawan cuz I think he was the first to call it, or was it you, BF? Anyway, perhaps we should all reveal our real identities now, and who all we've posted as? I'm sure everyone pretty much knows most or all of the other names I've posted under by now.

By MarkN on Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 11:19 pm:

But let's do it on Roll Call 4, shall we?

By BF on Sunday, July 15, 2001 - 4:01 am:

It was me, remember? Its posted on TKOS Discussion 2. I actually beat Padawan at something for a change! (Kind of embarrasing, considering he's half my age) Btw, I dropped derf from my suspect list, after reading the Three Stooges board.

By Padawan Loremaster on Sunday, July 15, 2001 - 5:31 am:

BF, I was not online at the time but if I had been I'd have beaten you.

By BF on Sunday, July 15, 2001 - 5:39 am:

Screwed up....its on Roll Call 3, not TKOS Discussion 2. :(
