Who is the most powerful Champion?

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: L.I.C.C.: League of Intergalactic Cosmic Champions III: The Discussion: Who is the most powerful Champion?
By Matt Pesti on Saturday, January 26, 2002 - 7:41 pm:

Okay my picks (NOTE: These are not dogmatic. Make your own as well.)

1. Frangellica: Don't mess with Q like powers.
2. Soyburger Patricia: Her magic is used with restraint. That suggests power.
3. Hamburger Pattie: A less leathal version of Soy.
4. Adon: He would be higher up, but warriors have limits.
5. Tacoman: Other than immortality, he's just Batman with better toys and a Southwestren theme.
6. Observer: The Wisdom and encased wizard make the differance.
7. Donna: Unlike most magic users, Donna goes to the gym. She also has the combined powers of Adon and Pattie, though she dosn't know how to use them.
8. Kiehart: Unbreakability and a sword. Beware Highlander!
9. The Jedi.
10. Milkshake. Powersuits are cool, but still vunerable
11. Cid: This guy has a spear. I'm trembling

People I can't venture a guess at.
Quantum Man: Bending the rules of physics is powerful indeed, but how does science match agaist magic?
Furby: Immortal, all powerful, but still a doll.
Rocket Ranger: He seems powerful, but dies a lot and has several forms.

By The Amazing Quantum Man on Saturday, January 26, 2002 - 8:33 pm:

Hey, I'm Scotty's worst nightmare!

Scotty: "I canna break the laws o'physics, Cap'n!"

Amazing Quantum Man: "I can! Step aside!"

By Brian Webber on Saturday, January 26, 2002 - 10:07 pm:

Actually Pesti, Kiehart's sowrd was destoryed during the Frank battle. I figured it would be a cool way of showing just how dangerous the Franks really were, by having them be able to destory a magically enhanced sword.

By KAM on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 5:29 am:

Personally, I would put Patricia at the top, or possibly tied with Frangelica.

Pattie on the other hand I would say is weaker than Adon. When I first decided to make her a white witch she was clearly in-training & had a lot to learn.

Not sure about The Observer's powers so wouldn't even guess.

Milkshake at the moment is just a guy in a power suit, but it's been shown that his destiny is to become a Q-like individual.

Now for my characters not listed:

Mr. Absurd has the power of absurdity on his side, although I don't think he can consciously control it. Kind of a cartoon probability thing. He might walk through the middle of a laser firefight completely oblivious to it & not even get singed, or he might pick up a ticking package that explodes & leaves him charred & blackened & stunned, but otherwise unharmed.

Mr. Obvious on the other hand is just a normal human.

Old DC Fan was just a 90 year old guy exposed to an immortality solution. His strength was in his gimmicks (but what gimmicks they were.;-)

The Answer Man knew stuff, but no other skills were ever shown.

The Juiceman is invulnerable to any kind of drunk liquid.

Robot Redshirt can be squashed, blown up, split in two, but has the most amazing self-repair system imaginable. Outside of tossing him into a star or a black hole, I'm not sure what would 'kill' him.

I'm sure I'm forgotten some of my revealed characters, but I think I got most of them.

Of course, if you consider The Queue to be a Champion then they would be most powerful since they created the LICC Universe. ;-)

By Jon Wade on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 6:50 am:

And of course, Butrfli is a magic user with some intersesting spells... Maybe put her in the middle of the list?
KAM.. I agree with you about Milkshake.. in fact, I was thinking along similar lines when I saw the first list :)

By Matt Pesti on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 10:02 am:

Darnit, I forgot Butrfli! Maybe I should make a magic users chart, a warriors chart, and a overall chart. Or someone else can.

KAM: I was trying to stick with current and long lasting character. Hence the abscense of Ze French Knight and Tammy Tembar.

By Padawan Observer on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 10:47 am:

By ScottN on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 1:13 pm:

Yeah, I intended Quantum Man as a traditional Comic Book superhero type (as a matter of fact, he's a Champions character, or he was...). That's why he's "one powered", but he is continually discovering new ways to use it.

By BF on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 3:41 pm:

Rocket Ranger - Suit Guy

Not quite. Inventive genius with high-tech battlesuits, yes, but...

He also have energy-based powers on par with the Marvel Comics character Quasar, and can create miniature wormholes that can either be used to drop or yank up small objects.

Rocket Ranger still has the energy powers. I just haven't shown them much lately.

Ojanon - Jedi Type

Sort of. But he's a natural telepath; he'd wipe up the floor with even the strongest Jedi in a battle of wills. And lets not forget about his Malachite Staff, which causes evil constructs to explode, among other things....

You also left out Lord of the Hamburgers, 12 of 10, and Crimson Crossbow.

By Sarcastic LICC Fan on Sunday, January 27, 2002 - 6:47 pm:

Yup, they're all way overpowered and undefeatable too.

By KAM on Monday, January 28, 2002 - 2:59 am:

Artsy - one-skill semi-hero without much physical power or strength Didn't she demonstrate Superstrength when cleaning up after the Supervillain Convention?

Jadlad - One-skill hero 2 skills, creating portals & creating pizzas

Robot Redshirt - android No, definitely a robot, androids look Human (Technically Androids look like Male Humans & Gynoids look like Female Humans, but hardly anyone uses the term Gynoid)

Taquitoboy/Endymion - powerful hero I would have to list them seperately. Taquitoboy never seemed to be anything more than a psycho human with weapons. It was only after he changed his name to Endymion that he revealed his superpowers.

Hamburger Pattie - normal human with hightened skill Excuse me? And you claim to be the JARSO expert? She had superpowers & she knew magic.

Soyburger Patricia - powerful hero, magician? Hero? *smirk* Well, she tried to be. She's neither hero nor villain, she's a survivor. She will help LICC out on occasion, but she lacks the quality that I would say makes someone a hero. She is a full-fledged sorceress as well as having a teleportation-based superpower.

SuperBob - normal human Actually he could rewrite time.

By Padawan Observer on Monday, January 28, 2002 - 10:25 am:

Artsy: Well, I said without much physical power or strength. I need to read the Convention/Frankspiracy storyline again, it's my favorite from LICC2!

Jadlad: I forgot about the portals. Still, he seems along the same line as a one-skill hero.

Robot Redshirt: C-3P0 and R2-D2 were referred to as droids, which is short for android, and they don't look human. (Yes, Threepio is humanoid, but isn't Robot Redshirt also?)

Taquitoboy/Endymion: Yes, but they are the same character. All right then, powerful hero, formerly normal human.

Hamburger Pattie: You're right.

Soyburger Patricia: The term "hero" was not a moral evaluation, I mean it as in `superhero'. Maybe just `magician', then?

SuperBob: He said he did but he never actually showed this skill except to demonstrate it after first ariving.

By BF on Monday, January 28, 2002 - 7:59 pm:

Yup, they're all way overpowered and undefeatable too.

Rocket Ranger's armor CAN be destroyed, and he does have other weaknesses, magic among them. I'll be explaining soon why he doesn't use his energy powers much anymore.

Ojanon isn't all that powerful; Jedis can be defeated, and Ojanon is just a Jedi with slightly different abilities and greater telepathic powers. (And a semi-indestructable staff instead of a lightsaber)

By The Scribbler on Monday, January 28, 2002 - 10:00 pm:

Muahahahahaha! *Draws on KAM's face and scurries off*

By KAM, whose face is clean, it was just his stunt double´s face that was marked on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 - 4:44 am:

Lazy SF writers' definition of Humanoid or the actual definition of Humanoid? ;-)
Definitely Bipedal, possibly Homonid, but I just don't think Humanoid is accurate. (Besides the Jack Williamson estate might sue.;-)

I did send a picture of Robot Redshirt to the Archives, but they haven't been updated yet. (I think the next update will be in 2004.)

Magician makes it sound like she pulls rabbits out of hats. ("Ceasar's Palace is proud to present the magic of Reigfreid & Soy!")

By Josh M on Monday, February 11, 2002 - 2:36 pm:

My opinion: Frangelica

By Matt Pesti on Thursday, April 04, 2002 - 10:38 am:

I say Adon's Class should be "Paldian", in the Ultima and Final Fantasy Sense of the word, as a well balanced characther with many skills including magic and fighting ability. Or "Adventurer", much like Link from Legend of Zelda who can do anything. I think Wanderer is a bit too preset, as I am sure wanderers will show up who have no need for physical strenght.

By Jason on Thursday, April 04, 2002 - 12:41 pm:

Well, there are basicaly three kinds of Wanderers... the hack-n-slash kind who rarely use something other than brute strength. The kind that use both stregth and other powers, and the kind that use just powers, and rarely show stregth. The more powerful the Wanderer, the less they use strength.

Adon's in the middle group moving towards the third. Loth (from Sprinkleboy) is more towards the third group. Sure, he has the elemental/balrog that changes into Loth's sword for physical attacks, but just about everything he does is with his powers or plants.

Ahz seems to be content to work on his computer, rather than fight. I think he's the Conclave's webmaster or something. :)
