This is funnier on the radio, although the television series was more surrealistic, as George continually addressed the audience. That said, the radio series is very sharp--the Happy Postman (Mel Blanc) is always a riot, the episodes sponsored by Maxwell House have the most leisurely commercials in the world, and trying to work in how Bill Goodwin (or Harry Von Zell) will plug the sponsor is hilarious.

Harry von Zell probably made the biggest gaffe in radio history....the president of the US was going to make a speech. Zell announced: "Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the United States: Hoobert Heever"
